Zakarax, der Anführer der Ratten, heckt wieder einmal einen Plan aus, um die Weltherrschaft zu erlangen und die Mäuse zu besiegen. Zunächst macht er den Mäusen aber ein Friedensangebot und ladet diese zu einem Maskenball ein. Sein Hintergedanke dabei ist die Mäuse zu fangen, wenn sie sich in Sicherheit wiegen. Dann liefert Zakarax seine Freundin Razztazz den Mäusen als Geisel aus. Diese ist aber zu den Mäusen so unerwartet freundlich, dass die Agentin Mimi-Mauschi Verdacht schöpft. Vorsichtig begeben sich die verkleideten Mäuse in das Hauptquartier der Ratten und belauschen zwei als Weihnachtsmann getarnte Ratten...
