Publisher's Summary

I never should have gone commando in that dress. I'm almost positive the rest of it wouldn't have happened if I hadn't been dangling off a hotel balcony with my lady parts in the breeze. And of course the one person to witness my mortification had to be him. Camden Cox.

Sure, today he's gorgeous and wealthy, and fine, I can admit he has a great sense of humor. But once upon a time, he was the boy who loved to make my life miserable. He no longer pulls my pigtails, but I know his type. He wants one thing, and one thing only. A chance to get in my pants. Nope. Not happening. Not even with that sexy southern drawl. But I'm Sophie Abbott, and if there's one thing I'm good at, it's making a mess. Only this isn't just a mess. It's a disaster. A Sophie disaster. Because after a wild night in Vegas, I wake up naked in his hotel room. And I'm pretty sure we got married.

Author's note: An adorkable hot mess who throws a cocky charmer completely off his game. Plus, a salty dad playing matchmaker, laugh-out-loud banter, a couch scene that will melt your device, and the swooniest of swoony happy endings.

Great story, loved it in audio

I loved this so much when I read it that I devoured it in a day. I think we all have a little bit of Sophie in us she is quite adorable. I loved that Cox loved her for who she was clumsiness and all. This is just a great listen it's light funny and leaves you feeling good all over. I gave it 5 stars. Can't wait for the next book.

Quirky clumsy heroine/swoony hero = Fun Rom Com

Aiden Snow and Savannah Peachwood bring Cox and Sophie to life in this brilliant addition to the Dirty Martini Running Club series by Claire Kingsley.

Sophie Abbott, hot mess extraordinaire, is an absolute delight. She's "ruffled but plucky" and you can't help but love "every sweet, smiling, clumsy, hot mess, golden-curled bit of her". Her goodness shines except in the bedroom where she's a little bit naughty. ;) Savannah Peachwood does a great job of capturing the sweetness to Sophie but also the purr when her naughty side comes out.

Our cocky, alpha hero - Camden Cox - is voiced by a southern-accented Aiden Snow and I could listen to his drawl all day and night. Cox crushed on Sophie when he was 11 and after seeing her climb out a window to avoid a very "Sophie situation", realized he was still crushing on this curvy cutie. His sexy-accented assistant, Oliver, keeps him on his toes and their banter is fun.

Both narrators do a phenomenal job with all the different characters and accents. They transition smoothly to the different characters and they tell this story.

I loved catching up with the Dirty Martini gals. Their bond is strong and their supportive friendship is uplifting. They have unique personalities and you can't help but love them all. The guys interactions in this book were the unexpected highlight. Corban and Shepherd playing good cop/bad cop while being the protective "big brothers" was entertaining.

In addition to the friendships, I loved the open, honest relationship Sophie has with her dad and the strong relationship between Cox and his mom.

If you are looking for a fun rom-com, then look no further! Claire has an amazing talent at writing stories with great characters that suck you in on page 1. I highly recommend this book.

"Why worry about that now? I like to live in the moment. They do say the present is a gift."

If Loving Cox is Wrong, I Don't Wanna Be Right!

Sophie and Cox will make you swoon!

This accidentally married rom/com has all the feels - I laughed, I got angry (Althea needs a throat punch!), and I ugly I cried my way through the last two chapters. Seriously, people, have tissues handy.

Things I loved: the main character's relationships with their respective parent, Sophie's close circle of friends, the protective "older brother" actions of her friend's significant others, Cox's relationship with Oliver (his British assistant), and Cox calling Sophie "Sugar".

Things I didn't love: Althea - Cox's scheming witch of an attorney.

This installment of The Dirty Martini Running Club series was perfect! It was wonderful to see some familiar characters and I'm eager to read Nora and her brother Jensen's stories. Claire Kingsley, please make this happen ASAP!

The growly, sexy drawl of Aiden Snow's voice was perfect for Cox and deliciously offset by the sweetness of Savannah Peachwood's Sophie. Be warned - the heat level may cause your ear buds to smoke! The casting of these two narrators to voice Cox and Sophie is perfection.

Marrying Mr. Wrong is so very right!!

The best large cast sitcoms have a place for every character, every episode. Not a throw away line, but a part vital to the story. Claire Kingsley does this expertly with all her series, and it is especially true here. The cast has grown and each player new and old enhanced Marrying Mr. Wrong.

The ladies’ friendship established in the first two books is amazing and continues with this story. Can I be part of the Dirty Martini Running Club if I don’t like martinis or running? Everly, Hazel, Nora, and Sophie are fantastic. I want to hang with these women. Shepherd and Corban’s roles were so stinking perfect, no spoilers here, but spot on to them and they carry forward themes from the previous books in the best way. Even Jensen and Steve played a role true to their characters. The addition of Olivier, Sophie’s dad, Cox’s mom was woven in perfectly.

Sophie Abbott is the lovable klutzy character but it is not done so big, it’s just the right amount of hot mess to feel relatable. Despite this, and other challenges, she has a great outlook. Sophie needed a challenge in a man. Without that he would charm her immediately and there would be no story. So enter, childhood tormentor in the form of Camden Cox. Nothing gets me more than an alpha cocky man getting all sorts of messed up over a women, especially one not usually his type and when he’s not the marrying kind. Cox wanted Sophie sooner than she did and it made for some fantastic pursuing. His cockiness was great, but Cox was the best in the way he cared for Sophie after a clumsy incident. He was so supportive, as if he knew she didn’t need any more humiliation.

This novel is RomCom perfection! I was so entertained. I laughed out loud too many times to count. The morning after a night out in Vegas was next level comedy. It also had moments to be frustrated and angry, a whole lot of heart, even some tears, and boy did I swoon! Claire has done it again. She just keeps getting better and better. You may not realize you need this story in your world right now, but you do!!

I love Claire’s books, but I ADORE them in audio. This was so good. Let’s start with Sophie, Savannah Peachwood was perfect for her. Upbeat, happy, but had a touch of frustration in her voice. She is so talented. Aiden Snow as Cox, come on!! Seriously?! His voice was so deep and perfect, and the added southern twang was everything. Phew. Every time he said “Sugar” I just melted. Both Savannah and Aiden were great at the large cast and played each character so well. This audio is absolutely fantastic!

Sugar Bug

It was so fun getting to re-experience this book this way. When I’m reading I may have a different emphasis or tone in my head, and having others read it is like hearing it from other perspective almost. But that’s beside the point.
Cox and Sophie are so cute there are no words. Sophie adopting pets and looking into a bearded dragon, then being told to get dressed in something that makes her feel good, and she asks ‘Like jammies?’. She is perfect, and adorable and beyond the sweetest person in existence. He dad is awesomely blunt and open with his dating suggestions, just as Cox’s mom is with her saying that they have meetings on getting their “grown-ass men who never date a girl long enough to bring one home to meet their mama. I took a lot of notes.” Between those two parents it’s amazing they were both single long enough to marry each other. Cox was a riot in the way he looked at life. To how he described how he treated Sophie when they were younger “No, I was a dumbass. But you made some very confusing things happen in my pants.” To his response on why he got married without a prenup, I chuckled as I refilled my water. “Well, to be fair, I was pretty drunk.” His easy way of looking at life, not taking it (aside from business) to seriously is perfect since Sophie is all about having two left feet and smiling as she picks herself up. The Easter eggs of Cookie wine and continuing the tradition of going to Salishan Cellars are just another this thy makes this book another of Claire’s masterpieces.

Aiden Snow is worth the price of admission

The narration is spectacular. They did an amazing job of bringing the story to life. Savannah did a great job with Sophie, oh sweet baby goats, Aiden as Cox is everything. This was a reread for me. I had previously read the ebook.

The book that you don’t realize you’re looking for. I knew I would enjoy it because I love all the books by this author. I didn’t realize just how much I would love it. Sophie is an absolute hot mess that you’ll fall in love with. You’ll want to help her and be her friend. Camden Cox, you’ll try really hard to not like him, but you’ll fall in lust with him. Then he will win you over, and you can’t get enough of him.

One of the best first chapters I’ve ever read. One of the best meet (re-meet) cutes I’ve ever read. Don’t worry, it didn’t peak too soon. Shepherd and Corban’s scenes together are pure gold. Sophie’s dad was icing on the cake. The epilogue was the cherry on top.

Another great book from Claire Kingsley!

With each new release Claire Kingsley reminds me why she is one of my favorite romance authors. Her characters are relatable and her plots are engaging and keep my attention. The books are always a nice mix of humor and drama with wonderful friendships and family dynamics.

I have loved getting to read about the Bailey Brothers with the last two big releases but I am really excited to be back in the Dirty Martini Running Club series. Sophie and Cox run into each other in interesting circumstances that end up leading to more than either of them bargained for.

There was so much to love about this book. The romance, friendships, swoony moments, and accident prone heroine all add up to a book that is just plain fun! The narrators did a really great job bringing the characters and story to life.

“I wanted to be someone’s tomorrow.”

Marrying Mr. Wrong was an absolutely charming and delightfully adorable read and I freaking LOVED it. I started this when I got home from work one night and I didn’t stop reading until I finished the last page. Sophie and Cox are perfection and instantly draw the reader into their fun and lighthearted story.

When they wake up in Vegas married and with no recollection of the events that lead them to that chapel, they have to navigate their new reality and make a deal to remain married so they can each get what they need before getting a divorce. But what happens when feelings get in the way?

“Sophie Abbott had stolen my heart when I was a eleven-year-old kid. She’d had it ever since. And looking at her now, ruffled but plucky as ever, I realized that I never wanted it back.”

Sophie is such a charming and relatable character. She’s a bit of a klutz and always finds herself in odd situations that will bring a smile to your face. Plus she has an enormous, selfless heart. I would love to be her friend and be a part of the Dirty Martini Running Club.

Cox is sexy player who is used to getting what he wants and what he wants is Sophie. From the moment he sees her, he is transfixed, but she wants nothing to do with him. She’s a challenge and Cox rises to the occasion. Underneath his self-assured and arrogant façade is a tender and caring heart.

“Goddamn, sugar, I wish I could remember more of what happened in Vegas. Because I tell you, I feel like I kissed you and it was something special.”

From their first interaction, the chemistry between Cox and Sophie is explosive. They are hot! Plus they have so much fun together. I loved watching their relationship grow and I loved watching Cox become part of Sophie’s friends group.

Aiden Snow and Savannah Peachwood were PERFECT as Cox and Sophie. This was the first time I had listened to narratin from Aiden Snow and his voice is drool-worthy. I've always enjoyed Savannah Peachwood's performances and she was delightful as Sophie.

If you are looking for a story that’s sure to put a smile on your face, Marrying Mr. Wrong is it. It’s feel-good romantic comedy gold!
