This book had me completely captivated from the first page to the last. The world building, the characters, and the angst. It's all just perfection. I can't wait for the next book.

This could've been 2 hours shorter. Way too much POV and in the FMC's head for long lengths which wasn't necessary. Easy to figure out what would happen. I wouldn't say it's enemies to lovers because that's how they start. the MMC is in this so briefly. He was great in the witch walker, but not this.

Easy to follow / typical romantasy

The storyline was ok,the internal monologue was drawling going in to every single detail got quite repetitive.
The male narration and female impersonation of the males were…ick was quite jarring. It was difficult to hold the attraction to the male with the voice and impersonation.
I’d probably have found it more enjoyable reading it rather than listening.

The main narrator was great. It wasn't as bad as most of the book like these. there was actually some thought put into trying to develop a character (just one of the handful in the book). if you took out the parts where she repeated herself constantly that she was marked, that her friend needed her (and was too gosh darn sweet for this world), and that Thorn "was the kings Blade" ... this book would be half the length. it would be a quarter of the length and twice as good of she was actually the strong woman all her backstory and the first chapter sets her up to be.
Stop writing awful mental/ sexual abuse as romance.

the main character being in the military but then showing no actual discipline or real strength.

I couldnt finish the book because the Narrator wasnt my cup of tea. Good plot. but thats just me, others might like the narrator.

I nearly threw in the towel at the 3/4 mark, but I pushed through and now I am intrigued enough to read the next book in the series.

Wow this book was incredible, it sucked me in and had my full attention until the ending which left me in a WHAT THE?? I need to know what happens next.
I highly recommend this book and matched with the audiobook is EVEN better!

The narration of the story was great. I especially love Tim Campbell. The overall story was great also although I felt quite often that the female storyline got a bit whingy and whiny and drawn out. Other than that, I was disappointed to see that the subsequent novels were so short which is discouraged me from listening to them.

I liked the story, a few plot holes and strange character development but I’m guessing the author had plans for the story to go further in the future. I found the FMC internal monologue a little too repetitive which got annoying for me. Great Narrators although I really do wish authors would invest in duet style narration, men reading woman’s parts in particular is just cringy sometimes. Overall I liked how the ending draws me in to continue listening and learn more about the characters and the created world but I really don’t think I want to waste a credit on the next installment as it’s half as long as this one and if most of it is repetitive FMC monologue I’m not sure if I will sadly.
