** Big Little Lies creator David E. Kelley is to adapt for A24 - a TV show starring Nicole Kidman and Elle & Dakota Fanning **
Margo Millet's got money troubles. As the child of a Hooter's waitress and an ex-Pro-Wrestler, she's always known she'd have to make it on her own. When she finds herself pregnant by her college professor - who is very keen not to be involved - she realizes she will need cash fast.
At twenty, alone with a baby, what Margo lacks in options she makes up for in ingenuity, and soon she has a plan: she'll start an OnlyFans as an experiment, producing content and writing storylines unlike anything else out there. Help arrives in the form of her live-action role-playing flatmate Suzie, and her father, Jinx - a recovering addict and veteran of the wrestling world, who has experience of making an audience fall in love.
Before she knows it, Margo is an online phenomenon. Could this be the answer to all of Margo's problems, or does internet fame come with too high a price?
'An expansive, offbeat, gorgeous exploration of resilience, forgiveness and multi-generational parenthood'
Pandora Sykes
'A hilarious novel about making the most of what you've got'

Thoroughly enjoyed!
Very thought provoking and beautifully narrated. A heartfelt portrayal of what it is like to be a mother.

Slow and monotonous
This story just dragged on and on. It seemed to go no where and I couldn’t wait for it to be over. Completely unreliable characters and a predictable story line.

Humourous, with some wit
Parts I enjoyed quite a bit, but overall I think this wasn't quite the story for me, the OF stuff and wrestling stuff didn't grab me. But that's just me. On a positive note, I enjoyed the humour, and pondering upon these concepts and characters I usually wouldn't interact with. I also did enjoy parts of the ending, I didn't predict it at all, so that's a bonus. Enjoyed Elle Fanning's narration too.

Margo’s got more than money troubles
Not literary genius, but a good read. Pretty reasonably story. There are moments of second hand embarrassment and moments of ‘why’, but that exactly what being an 19yo is like. I enjoyed it, but I don’t think I’d quickly recommend it to others.

Margot was gripping
loved this book, it was such a unique story that really had me gripped and caring about what happened to Margot. it got tense and i felt uncomfortable at times because I was so invested in the outcome. The narration was perfect and paced just right.

A novel take on the cost of living crisis
The narration was perfect! I really felt like I ‘got’ Margot. Great minor characters too! A fun read.

Up there with an all time fave
I loved this book right from the start. It’s so completely of the ‘now’ and I just loved the protagonist’s tenacity despite her challenges and the relatable messiness of her circumstances. Who’d have thought that a social media influencer teen mum could become the heroine I didn’t know we needed.
Ultimately, this book is about doing what you need to do to show up and provide for the people you care about. It’s about continuing to put one foot in front of the other when you choose a path others don’t understand - even when you’re being told you’re not worthy and somehow damaged, bad, weird or morally compromised.
Read it. That’s all I can say. Just read it.
