Publisher's Summary

True love is in the details for the Jersey shore’s premier wedding planner in this heart-swooning series about big dreams and happy endings from New York Times bestselling author Jennifer Probst.

Avery Sunshine might not have a soul mate of her own, but she still believes in happily ever after - for her clients. Making dreams come true is her business at Sunshine Bridal, which she runs with her two sisters. When her best friend announces her engagement, Avery is thrilled to take charge of the giddy bride-to-be’s big day. Less thrilling? Her best friend's arrogant and demanding brother, who just so happens to be the man of honor.

Carter Ross’s first instinct: call 911. He promised to always take care of his impulsive little sister, and he honors that vow. Even if it means taking over her wedding, where he is sure Avery will fail. At best, Avery is unpredictable. At worst, if she’s anything like the spitfire of a college girl he remembers, the main event could run wild.

With Avery and Carter wrestling for control, tempers heat up. So does the spark of attraction they’re fighting with every kiss. As the wedding draws near, it’s time to reconcile a rocky past and make a decision that could change everyone’s lives. Because what they’re rebelling against looks a lot like love.

Critic Reviews

“Probst (All Roads Lead to You) opens her Sunshine Sisters series with an effervescent rom-com. The characters leap off the page, the love story is perfectly paced, and an adorable dog named Lucy adds charm. Readers will eagerly await the next in the series.” --Publishers Weekly

Oh noooo

Save yourself! The two main characters are horrible humans and not worthy of your time. Neither one of them were remotely likable. I didn't even care if there was a HEA. Truly torture to get through. Like this author, but I want my hours back from listening to this.

Love On Beach Avenue

*SIGH* I loved this one from beginning to end! Avery and her sisters are wedding planners and Avery's best friend from college is getting married and wants her to plan her wedding and fit it in this summer. No problem except it also comes with her brother as her best man and Carter and Avery don't get along...until they do. This is a slow start and Carter doesn't believe in love but when he falls, he falls hard. This one was so, so, SO good. I cannot wait for the rest of the sisters to get their happy too.

enjoyable listen

The narration was really good, and the story was well-developed. This is a contemporary romance, enemies-to-lovers, with a low level of angst, some humor, and a lot of emotion and heart. The extended family and side characters were well-developed as well, and it left you feeling satisfied.

Loved this Audio

Jennifer Probst is one of my favorite authors. I'm so glad I picked up this audiobook. It was a sweet, slow burn romance. I cried at times, I laughed at times. There were a few times I got really frustrated with the hero and heroine. But I really became invested in the characters. I cannot wait for the next audiobook. Brian Pallino and Samantha Brentmoor were excellent narrators. Two of the best I've heard. They truly brought the book alive. Wonderful performances.

Good summer read

Love on Beach Avenue is the first installment of what promises to be at least 3 about the Sunshine Sisters who are wedding planners. It was a pleasant read, well written and reads a lot like a Hallmark movie. I really enjoyed learning about the sisters and their personalities. This one was about Avery. She's the oldest of the sisters and assumes the lead in their business that they took over when their parents retired. I had a hard time with Avery's love interest, Carter. Carter was a jerk! All sweetheart this and sweetheart that. He is the older brother of a bride, who is also Avery's bestie. And his dog, Lucy, drove me crazy! I'm glad his sister was able to give him the "come to Jesus" lecture he needed. I loved Taylor and look forward to reading her story. And Zoe is a doll. I have become vested in the characters and look forward to following the Sunshine Sisters through each of their individual stories. I have to say that going back and forth with the male and female narrators was very distracting and off putting. I had a hard time following a higher tones female narrator, then having to switch to listen to a brooding lower toned male narrator. I did not enjoy the audible version of this book as much as the kindle version. This book is great for young adult and older. Great for a summer beach read because it's so easy to read.

An overall solid story with great narration.

I am a huge fan of this author's work and her interconnected stories. This one is a great book 1 that sets up the upcoming storylines for the other 2 sisters in the series. In this story the main characters start off being "enemies" in a way but the way it's set up you truly get it. What I appreciated more in this story, same as in her previous series, is the bond and family unit that is built. The emotional moments are done beautifully! The narration is solid overall. I'm glad to have pressed play.

Great Series Intro

Love on Beach Avenue is book 1 of Jennifer Probst's series, The Sunshine Sisters. Readers who are familiar with Jennifer Probst will think this book starts slow and they would be correct. Jennifer Probst really sets the scene and builds her characters in order for them to last an entire series. This book is narrated by Samantha Brentmoor and Brian Pallino. They are delicious in bringing the characters to life. Avery is a wedding planner with her sisters in the family business. Of course when her best friend calls for a quick fire wedding she gladly accepts the task. Little did she know she would be forced to work with her best friend's brother, Carter. Sparks fly and this is a fun read with some steamy scenes. Overall, Jennifer Probst's books are more substance and less steam. But I love them. I love the families and friend groups that she creates. I will always pull out my earbuds for one of her listens.

Wonderful Story

This was a great book. Enjoyed the story and performance. Is there a sequel? Would love Bella and Gabe’s story or Taylor and Pierce’s.

A little too much push & pull for me!

Love on Beach Avenue is the first book in a new series by Jennifer Probst called The Sunshine Sisters. I loved the family dynamics in this one. I love the small town setting, the beach scenery and the enemies to lovers connection between the two main characters. Or at least I did initially but then it just became too much! The push and pull between them overpowered their connection. They were always trying to one up each other and at times I couldn’t believe the story was about two grown adults. I did enjoy their banter but overall this was lacking the usual chemistry and connection I have come to love in a Jennifer Probst novel. There were a few times I almost DNF’d this but I am glad I stuck through as the second half of the book was much better than the first half. I look forward to next book in the series. I did love the narration done by Brian Pallino and Samantha Brentmoor. They complimented each other well.
