Publisher's Summary

Fame can disappear in an instant.... Fortune is a fleeting fantasy.... Laz Rawlings had them both, until he lost it all....

Laz, a former world-famous music producer, screwed up everything thanks to his rock 'n' roll lifestyle, but he's been given an opportunity to prove his genius in the music industry wasn't a fluke, and he's hell-bent on not letting history repeat itself. But that's proving difficult when the young singer he's tasked with grooming has become the object of his every desire.

Life has been an uphill battle for Aundrea Newton, so when a sexy, tattooed stranger hand delivers her dream of a music career, she's skeptical. Nothing ever comes easy, and she knows Laz has the power to crush both her career and her heart with his undeniable s*x appeal and charismatic swagger.

When the line between mentor and student blurs, both begin to question what's more important: love, s*x, or the music.

Stand-alone. No Cliff-hanger.

Deeply Emotional and Completely Satisfying!

Love Sex Music is an impossibly emotional and defyingly satisfying story that will rock your world in the best possible ways! I was not prepared for this story in any way, and that made it the best ever! This story crawled into my heart while it disrupted everything and pulled at my heartstrings so completely. The only other author who has this same effect on me is Nicole Snow who writes heart-stopping journeys that push you to the brink and then beyond. I was swept out of my comfort zone immediately and thrust into a world that left me clawing and longing for something familiar, and then I was drowned in everything that our mind, heart, and soul needs to live, breath, and flourish. I was torn into pieces but in the way best possible. I watched my heart transform before my very eyes as my world shifted and changed before I had time to breathe. Nothing feels so good as having the love, passion, and hope bleed off the pages and in this situation vibrate from my headphones and completely embrace me. This is seduction at its best!

You can believe me or not, but this book has everything that a woman longs for and then even more. If a guy seriously wants to understand how women think, this is the first story I would hand to him. It is a true force of nature that cannot be tamed or put into cliched words. In fact, I won't do it that type of a dis service, but I will sing its praises to everyone who will listen. This is romantic suspense at its finest! If you want to experience the very best of the romance genre, then you have to queue up this book and then dive into the other works of art by this outstanding author. She is truly the measure that all other authors will be held to. I bow my heart and mind to her brilliance and magnificent heart!

Meghan Kelly has given us a true narration dream! Her performance is truly inspiring and phenomenal! This is THE best performance that I have ever heard from her, and she truly knocked the wind from my very lungs. I was enthralled from her very first word. She breathed life and depth and meaning into each amazing character, and the made this story EPIC! I was not lost to the sheer power of this story and Kelly magnified that power to the height of heaven and back! Talk about perfection and pure genius!

Love this book!

I went into this book blind. I love Michelle A Valentine, and with a book narrated by Meghan Kelly, I was sure I was going to enjoy it. And enjoy it I did! This is a wonderful, feel good, sweet, swoonworthy romance. All her life, Aundrea's dream along with her stepsister Candace was to be singers. As Aundrea is watching Candace's audition for the Hell Cat Saloon, she bumps into Lazarus, and the story begins. Lazarus is looking for female singers for his new band, his one chance at redeeming himself after succumbing to drug addiction while in his rock band. When he hears Drea's voice, he knows she could be the key to his success and to his heart. I love rock band stories, but this one has a little different twist on it. The forbidden romance between these two is just the start of the steam. Valentine has given Laz and Drea backstories with grit, both broken and are able to heal and become stronger together. The inclusion of Laz's dad with a serious illness, the adoption of Drea's son, the craziness of her ex, all bring a sense of reality to the story, having the characters live through something we can all relate to. I love this story, it gave me all the feels and the ending is just so satisfying!

Add to this the narration by Meghan Kelly and it's perfection. Meghan has an innate ability to become the characters in the stories she reads. I feel like I know the people in the book, and can feel every emotion just from her performance. She brings these characters to life, and lets us live through their story leaving us with a happy heart.

My Two Pennies

Narration wise Meghan Kelly has me hooked, this woman pulls me into a story and I just never want to hit pause. The separation of each character blows my mind, you would think there are multiple narrators performing. Story wise 3.7 stars. This is not your typical rockstar romance with having a female take the lead and I thought that was a nice switch up. Laz was living the life of being part of his own band until life threw an unexpected twisted and changed his world, Aundrea “Drea” wasn’t expecting what the future had in store for her either and we’re taken on an adventure with both of them as they both learn and grow both as individuals and in the music industry. The story itself I felt had a few dragged out moments but once the storyline picked up my attention was held and you’re guaranteed a HEA that will leave tears in your eyes. This is my unbiased and voluntary review.

You won't be able to stop listening.....

I listened to the entire book of Love S*x Music in one sitting - it was that amazing. I am not a big fan of the rock star romance trope, but I am a huge fan of Meghan Kelly's narration. I am so glad that I took the chance. This was a story of second chances, redemption, success from struggle and a deep and passionate love. This story pulled so many emotions from me, and I had tears rolling down my cheeks several times. However, even when they were reliving the sad times, the strength and courage of the hero (Laz) and the heroine (Drea) ended up making my heart happy. I felt privileged to watch Drea grow from a shy, doubtful wallflower, to a strong, vibrant, self-confident star. I felt equally privileged to watch Laz finally forgive himself for past mistakes.

As I mentioned above, I can't say enough good about Meghan Kelly's talent, and she lived up to her usual high standards in this book. She is one of the best narrators when it comes to handling both parts of a duel narration, and she really nails all the emotions. She made a beautiful story all the more moving, and I highly encourage listeners unfamiliar with her work to try a listen.

I received a copy of this audio book at my request in exchange for this honest review.

Emotion Gets Real!

What an emotional story and Meghan Kelly narrated the characters so well, I was sure I was watching this played out right there! Lazarus was a musician and got caught up in using drugs. He started over as a music producer. He was given one last chance with the understanding that he could not get involved sexually with any of the singers. Laz heard Drea and her step-sister Candice singing and asked them to come in for an audition. He started an all female singing group called the Vixen’s. Then things got hot and all twisted up!

Complicated love

This listen was complex at times. Previous heart ache, rape and abuse. They pull through no cheating which is good. They love each other and it’s a happy ending. It was slow in parts it took a little for me to stay interested in parts.

I love Meghan Kelly! She does a great job as usual. I love her everything:)

A New Meghan Kelly Fan

Having been a fan of Michelle's Black Falcon series from the beginning, I have wanted to read this book for awhile and just never got around to it. So when the opportunity arose to listen to the audible, I jumped at the chance. Michelle's writing was on point as usual and Meghan did a fantastic job narrating. The story did have its ups and downs for me but that was just personal taste when it comes to characters. It's definitely worth the listen.

I received this audible in exchange for a fair and honest review.

Enthralling & entertaining .

I was gifted this book for free in return for my unbiased & honest revue . I loved this audio book , Lazarus was a musician who like many others got drawn into the drug scene . He was given a second chance & he became a music producer . He had to stay off the drugs & not become sexual with the female singers . This story tells the of the hardships , second chances , atoning for mistakes & finally success . The story gets complicated at times as everyone needs to get along with each other & well as have the talent to make the venture succeed . Most stories about the music industry don't come anywhere near this book , it has the 'nitty gritty' about what really goes on in bands . While the story is exciting , even riveting , the narration by Meghan Kelly really brings this story to life . She draws the listener in & the excitement she generates ensures the listener really feels part of the story . I enjoyed everything about this book & the narration so if you are looking for a great listen then you won't go wrong with this audio book .

Second Chances

An easy kind of love with a few roadblocks. This book beautifully handles some very hard issues. When you have people willing to see things from other points of views and give second chances anything is possible. I love Laz and Drea. Hoping they could find their way through their personal struggles. I’ve listened to a few books narrated by Meghan Kelly and she is becoming a true favorite. You can’t really go wrong with this audiobook. It has a great story and a great narrator.

Just like comfort food

This Michelle A Valentine book Love Sex Music, is one of those books that takes you through to look at the characters from the school of hard knocks. It shows how they struggled, and makes you want to despise the manipulating characters that try to move up or step on others heart breaks and bad luck to get ahead. I love how Michelle delved into each personality and didn't leave me with questions as to - "how did they know that" or "how is that possible" and "what about..." because she ties all the characters together without it feeling like the novel is forced or rushed.

Meghan Kelly as a narrator gives empathy and happiness to the characters and either makes you want to cheer them on, or in some cases, slap the ones that deserve it!

Whole Lotta Love!! 🎶 Great Story, Great Listen🎧!!

Michelle A. Valentine is an author who knows how to masterfully write & perfect a great Rock-N-Roll Romance & Meghan Kelly enhances that perfection in her narration. There is a lot of heart and depth in “Love Sex Music” and it’s characters. The story grabs you right from the start and has interesting storylines though out includes some nice touches & twists and turns. There is great chemistry between the leads LAZarus & AunDREA💕 The secondary characters add a lot to the story too. Plenty to enjoy in this book, lots of drama, angst, romance, heat & emotional moments !! Thanks for another great read Michelle A. Valentine!

I listened to the Audible version of the book and Meghan Kelly rocks it, brings the story & characters to life from the pages to your ears. She performs all the different voices and switches characters effortlessly and does not miss a beat. She is a natural born performer and storyteller. Thank you Meghan Kelly for another great listen.

My Review

First of all I have to say thank you to the person who suggested that I have a listen to this audio book.

And wow what a book it is!!!
We first meet Dra at a local bar, cheering on her step-sister, not really planning on meeting anyone, she’s just left work and headed straight over to show her support, as it was her sisters first day of work there.
Meeting the handsome Lazz was just a fluke, and immediately she had a dislike of him. He did after all insult her twice in twenty minutes. But after Lazz overhears Dra sing he offers them both an chance to reach there dreams.
Can Dra overcome her fears and her past or will it come back to bite her... after all being raped and giving birth at 16 isn’t something she wants to remember. Plus, Lazz is carrying some pretty extensive baggage from his past as well.
Can there love for each other help them concur there pasts or will it drive them further apart.
Loved the book, and I was especially proud of Dra over overcoming her past and finally getting some closer about her son. It’s just sad that it took Lazz being attacked by her psycho ex for her to finally see what was important to her.
Loved that ending though ❤️❤️

Oh my word!

This audio book was just so captivating. I loved every single part of it I am a huge music fan, so the aspects of music were so wonderful. There were so many touching, deep, emotional parts to this story. It touched on things that truly made my heart hurt for these characters. I absolutely loved Drea and Laz. Their chemistry is off the charts. Like two sides of the same coin, they are quite different but perfectly made for one another, to heal each other, understanding what others cannot. And the secondary charactets, amazing!

Now, the narrator, she was phenomenal! How can someone change their voice so wonderfully? After reading a character just once, I never had to have it said again who she was reading for. The accents, the male parts, so amazing. And the intimate scenes, wow! I felt as though I was eavesdropping on an actual intimate moment, the narrator got so into the scenes. I had to fan myself on numerous occasions.

I also found myself listening during a drive, yelling obscenities at my windshield. Yes, it was that good! Or crying with Drea. Laughing at Cam's hilarious guy-ness. And the villains in this story, hated them! I'm the good way. We all love to hate a villain. This book had a beautiful ending. It's a beautiful story that covers so many tough subjects that so many people go through. A must listen!

Standalone Novel

Standalone Novel

Aundrea 'Drea' Newton and her step-sister Candace meet Lazarus 'Laz' Rawlings at Candace's first night working at a dance bar. Laz is putting together a new girl-band and thinks Candace and Drea would be fantastic additions, even though he is forbidden to get involved with his band picks. Drea has always lived in Candace's shadow, but her voice is just as strong, if not stronger. When both sisters land the gig, Laz has to try to stay away, but how long can he make it when she is so beautiful and talented?

If you're looking for a story about how a band gets started from the outside, this is the book for you!

Unlikely live story

Yet again Meghan Kelly does it again with an amazing performance. Michelle Valentine brings out the rawness of two broken pasts together. One from a rich adoptive family and one from a mother who chose adoption as the best option for her. Laz pushes her to see that she is worth being loved and she made the right decision for her and her baby boy.

lovely story

This really was a lovely story , (An)drea and Laz both had a really sad past but their stories made them what they are today and together they fight battles thrown at them whilst trying to form a girl group , it was written and narrated perfectly, I'm not usually a massive fan of romances that are based in the music industry but I really enjoyed this one

Action packed

I loved this book so hard. The balance between the characters and the storyline is amazing. There’s a real story that I can easily see would trouble celebrities when they first start their journey. Meghan is wonderful and has a beautiful tone to her voice.
