The author told a great story and the narrater was amazing, really gripped the story! Best book I’ve “read” in a long time. I would definitely recommend this book to a fan of thriller and suspense!

Everyone was raving about this one in my fb group so had to read it, started off slow, good twist in the middle but then the end was quite lacklustre and predictable. I had guessed some of the connections and the very end seemed just unrealistic, that a certain character would go to so much effort to ruin someone in such a dripfeed way, didn't match the character.
A good read overall but I wasn't blown away like the reviews!

Told largely through Mackenzie Casper, a sharp yet initially distant college student, the story unravels after her famous thriller‑author mother dies under suspicious circumstances and Mackenzie begins receiving eerie diary pages signed “Love, Mom.” The short chapters, constant cliffhangers, and multi‑narrator audiobook performance make it highly bingeable, while the emotional tension steadily builds as Mackenzie uncovers betrayal, deception, and dark truths about her family. Despite a slightly predictable twist or two, its addictive pacing and immersive narration make it a compelling, can’t‑pause listen for fans of fast, twist‑heavy thrillers.
