About this listen

Hannah's love life? Dying. Career? Dead. New pen pal? Deadly.

Hannah Wilson can't text her ex again - it's too sad. She can't snap back at the new boss who took her promotion either - she'll be fired. But what she can do is write a series of furious letters to William Thompson, arrested for the murders of multiple women he got close to.

You're a monster, I hope you know that.

I want you to listen when I tell you that I'll never be able to go on a date again without thinking of you. Every moment I will wonder whether he wants to love me or murder me.

Hannah's shocked when William writes back, each response more surprising than the last. And as communication tips from curiosity to obsession, Hannah has to wonder if William might be innocent, and whether she even wants him to be...

This has left me with such a mixture of feelings. I couldn’t stop listening but I found myself cringing in places, which isn’t a criticism of the writing, simply that I couldn’t believe the things Hannah was doing and saying. The twist was great but I did see it coming. All in all, it was a good read, I have been left feeling odd, I wanted more for Hannah and William, but also don’t think they deserve more. It’s got me confused in the best kinda way.

I feel so mixed, which is good.

Liked the story line. Easy listen - completed in 2 days. Curious if there’s a second book..

The title

The protagonist is so annoying to a point you really can't stand listening to her. And you now realise why so many men think less of women. I wasn't a big fan of the ending, I can see the writer's point of view but I would have wished a different ending. Also I figured out "the twist" quite early on.. Anyway, if you hates Yellow Face, you will hate this one!
