About this listen

'Love has always intrigued me, in part because I have carried for a long time a feeling that I am doing love wrong.'

Michael made a name for himself on the hit show Love on the Spectrum. After his televised first dating experiences, will he complete his quest to find his queen?

Chloë was always good at maths, with feelings 'too big' to be contained. When she reconnects with her childhood boyfriend, it must be fate.

Noor has had a lot on her plate from a young age, especially at home. People-pleasing becomes her survival mode, but Noor can't keep her struggles inside forever.

Jess has spent a lifetime being put into different boxes. Through her strong will and creativity, can she break out and build a life that is truly her own?

Tim is a non-speaking autistic man who has been underestimated all his life. But through willpower, technology and a mother's love, he has a chance of finding a different kind of voice.

Through the intimate writing of critically acclaimed autistic author Kay Kerr, Love & Autism presents an uplifting celebration of neurodivergent love, the search for it and a deeper look into the lives of autistic Australians.

This book is truly amazing and change the way that you look at, and except autism. This book should be read by every single human being on the planet. Kay writes this book brilliantly. Truly a brilliant book with a eye-opening look at the positives and progress of autism and all that it encompasses. Well done, highly recommend five stars.

As someone that thought I was neurotypical until the age of 36 and getting an ADHD diagnosis, and suspecting more and more autism is also in the mix, I am very thankful for this book.
Great to have multiple perspectives, plenty or I cousin with language and variety with experiences etc.
My only very minor complaint is for the audiobook, to know ‘who’ is speaking as there is no pause or obvious point so I know the narrator (author) is speaking as the quoted person or herself makes it difficult to visualise properly.

Great, informative and real

A wonderful book that provides some beautiful insights into various experiences of being autistic. So many insightful moments, I just wish I could pull quotes from the whole thing. I wish more people would engage with content like this about what it is to be autistic. Thank you for writing this book!

Loved this so much

I was hesitant to begin this one after reading the blurb. I’d been worried it was going to focus only on the TV series mentioned. What I found instead was a great collection of people’s stories covering so many different facets of neurodivergent lives. It had just the right amount of repetition of themes to show shared experiences across a wide range of lifestyles, while also sharing the individuals’ unique profiles, worldviews and journeys. Highly recommended!

So much more than its blurb!

Could of been better. Definitely not I expect but was an easy listen. Some parts I felt dragged out
