This series had me in a chokehold! I cried constantly (especially books 3–4) because the loyalty, pack bonds, and devotion were genuinely SO beautiful! The romance is great and the MMC is the kind of book boyfriend you wish was real, but what really wrecked me was the found-family love and sacrifice from multiple characters… not just the mate! Emotional, addictive, and surprisingly well-balanced with humour when things get heavy. One of the most heart-tugging shifter series I’ve read. I pegged Leia Stone as a comfort writer before this, always at a 4 star for me, until this series. She really made a fan out of me with this one.

I enjoyed book 2 in this series. It continued from the cliffhanger, and it was great to see more of Demi in action. Sawyer didn't have a traditional grovel due to the circumstances of the betrayal, but it was definitely in line with the true mates connection Demi and Sawyer had.

The cliffhanger wasn't too extreme at the end of book 2. I can't wait to see what Demi can achieve and what the future holds.

I read on Kindle and read along on Audible with a single narrator.

loved it, lots of drama and action. Smut is little to none though i would have liked more but it is what it is.

Definitely need to listen to the third book asap, i do like the narrator, her voice is so unique. 4 star listen ending in a cliffhanger.
