Because this book will make you cry. The best part about listening to the audiobook over reading this one with your eyeballs is that you don't need to be able to see through the tears to keep reading.

Such a funny accent, great book. Awesome length book. Funniest “acting” of the explicit scenes made me laugh and blush and laugh and roll my eyes and recall embarrassing moments from my 20’s. The book also made me tear up…and for a number of chapters i was actually dreading there might not be a hea, thankfully there was. Many feels though. Wish that kind of devotion and lovey dovey over the top, not embarrassed or scared to be vulnerable or open, type of love and affection and attachment existed in real life…sigh…love a good love story.

I love Lily Maynes stories so it was a no brainer to get the audiobook too - Michael Lesley is fantastic! He consistently delivers an engaging performance, and the variety of voices for the characters keeps you spellbound.

Lor and Jugs, the feels. I enjoyed reading this but listening to it takes it to a new level! I loved this!

Fictional characters, that cause you to become so dreadfully attached. Great plots that twine together. And having me weeping at the highs and the lows like never before.

This story was slower and more angsty than others in this series, and definitely more angsty than my preferred romance stories.
That said, I did enjoy the more fleshed out experience of the monsters world. And definitely going to reread Wyn while I wait for the next in this series.

i have absolutely loved this series however this definitely wasn't the best
it really did drag out, I had to skip a couple of chapters just to keep going and didn't miss anything in those skipped. had the ending I was expecting.
