Amos Decker is Baldacci's 2nd best character by far. I mean Archer is obviously a master stroke of character development and Baldacci's best. But back to Long Shadows, this is the best book in this series since Memory Man and I would absolutely recommend it. But do yourself a favour and check out the Archer series as well as it's truly superb.
