Publisher's Summary

Living "the Dream" is a story about the lifestyle of Dreams, which are actual beings that resemble clouds and live in the Dream World. This is a story written in an easy screenplay format for kids and adults to follow and act out if they want to. A Dream lives by three rules. Rule One is they are supposed to "come true" and they do that by consistently auditioning every night for their selected Dreamers that arrive from the Real World. Dreams are able to transform into any image they want and they learn this information when they study at the Library of Dreams which exists in the Dream World. Rule Number Two is Dreams will work in groups of five until a Dream comes true and a new Dream appears to take their place.

When our hero, Puff, is formed he questions his very existence. Part of his Dream team includes Pinky Stratus, a mentor, who tries to explain to Puff that being a Dream provides hope for the humans. Also in the Dream Team is Mammatus Red, a cloud who sees things differently and eventually tries to persuade Puff into breaking Rule number three: NEVER become a Mare, or Bad Dream. If you do you become punished once you leave the Dream World. The leader of the Dreams is Cirrus, an all knowing white cloud that provides the three-rule lifestyle for the Dreams. When Puff asks Cirrus "Why are we here?" it motivates Mammatus Red to put his "Nightmare" plan into effect and trick Puff into scaring his Dreamer Billy, a six-year-old boy. During the journey Puff will learn the value of being a Dream versus becoming a Nightmare.

This is a story for children, people that have children, and, more importantly, people that love to Dream. If you love to laugh or even be inspired this is a story for you.
