About this listen

A perfect family hiding disturbing secrets. A killer who wants the truth to be told. A little girl in terrible danger.

A teacher goes missing under suspicious circumstances and a man is murdered at a local reservoir. For Detective Robyn Carter, there's no obvious link between the cases. But as she starts to delve into them, her investigations lead her to Abigail, perfect wife and mother to beautiful little Izzy. What was Abigail's connection to the victims? And why is she receiving threatening messages from an anonymous number?

But as Robyn starts to inch closer to finding the killer, Izzy is abducted. Unless Robyn gets to the twisted individual in time, a little girl will die.

Gripping, fast paced and nail-bitingly tense, this serial killer thriller will chill you to the bone. Perfect for fans of MJ Arlidge and Angela Marsons. Discover Carol Wyer's new series today.

okay narration. I felt like some of the themes were well worn and some of the dialogue was clunky but very easy to listen to.

bit predictable

This book kept me interested but I had to hit the FF button several times during long episodes of pointless waffling. I was continually irritated by the narrator’s voice as it swung from good, to robotic, to emotionless. This was distracting from what otherwise would have been a reasonably good listen.

Ok book, poor narration

As an audio book, I found the narrator not appropriate - no disrespect to her thanks

Enjoyed this a bit, not as good as other Carol Wyer series. Big shoes to fill.
Performance was robotic. Nearly turned it off, it was annoying.

Not as good

A little confusing with characters to begin with, but persevere. It all comes together for a good story. Narration is okay.

A GOOD LISTEN

The narrators whinny voice for the most part of the book for the characters of Rachel and Abbigale were absolutely annoying, significantly detracting from the overall performance.

Annoying narration

I enjoyed this book, moreso the second time around. There is a lot of detail woven into this story, a lot expertly crafted into twists and turns that keep you guessing. Well thought through and well written. A good job by author and narrator, I expect book 2 raises the bar yet more.

Complex tapestry expertly woven
