If anyone thinks they've had a difficult mother, they should read this Series. Very well written series about a girl, then young woman growing up in Liverpool through very hard years with a very hard mother. No doubt there were many other women who lost their fiancees or recently married, husbands. A very sad time which we should all be aware of. It's wonderful that this story has been told and I found the Audible versions interesting and enjoyable listening.
