Publisher's Summary

I, Braxton Fawn, am the luckiest girl alive.

Or so the world keeps telling me. Every so often, gods walk the earth. This time they came as musicians. When Bound loses its lead guitarist, yours truly is chosen to fill his shoes. From dive bars to the big stage, my instant claim to fame is nothing short of a fairytale. The only problem? My new bandmates.

Jaded, gorgeous, and ridiculously talented—they're determined to turn my dream into a nightmare. It's no secret I wasn't their first choice. I wasn't even their last. The label wants a new image, Bound wants me gone, but I've got my own agenda. To succeed I have to survive a world tour, public scrutiny, and idols turned enemies. But the biggest threat of all isn't a meticulous frontman, a narcissistic bassist, and a drummer with too many secrets.

It's me.

Somehow, I must resist the temptation of Houston Morrow, Loren James, and Jericho Noble. It seemed easy enough when I boarded their tour bus, but it only took one city for the lines we'd drawn to blur.

Only ninety-nine more to go.

Contains mature themes.

Enjoyable

A twist on a rock star story line. Group dynamics with graphic sexual themes. Good listening.

A solid read with some good spice.

THE BOOK: A fun, spicy reverse harrem with some solid writing quality to back it up.
At least for my tastes the book was really well paced, a nice medium burn on the romance, with plenty of sizzling tension to keep you interested. I find raverse harems can sometimes struggle to properly develope all the charachters and relationships but Reid does a good job making all the love interests unique and appealing. Some of the conflict feels maybe a little contrived but all and all nothing that ruins the experience. You'll more or less get what we all probably came for with this book (ie: hot, dominering, moody rock stars that can't help but become a bit obsessed with the FMC.)

THE PERFORMANCES: I enjoyed the narrators and the use of different voice actors for each of the male charchters definitly helped, both to enhance to enhance the individual charchters and to more easily differentiate between them. Though your miliage may vary depending on if you like all the narrators voices, personally I liked them all and I don't see any of them being particularly annoying to most people.

It is what it is

You get what you came for- a reverse Harrem why choose. I was really excited for this one just because of the rock band element being something different to the bike gang or mafia plot often used in this kind of genre. I did struggle to get through the last half though, mainly due to plot. It kind of became tedious and so many of the dilemmas or problems just felt lacking of drama or big outcomes. I found myself rolling my eyes often at what the FMC was saying or feeling- people don’t talk like that.

For the narrators- they did a good job for the most part! Teddy is great as always and I had no issue with the other male characters. The FMC, Jillian was also good.
