Publisher's Summary

Never borrow pants from your brother. Especially if he’s a size smaller than you are, because all that pressure in the junk will short-circuit your brain.

And you’ll lie to a woman in a club about your real name.

Leave her unsatisfied after making out in a bathroom.

Then find out that she’s the one thing standing in the way of your dreams. And she very much doesn’t like being lied to.

Now I have to convince Lila Valentine - the woman I can’t stop thinking about, my biggest regret, and my new boss - that I’m what’s best for the baseball team she’s inherited.

If we can’t work together to save the Fireballs, the commissioner’s forcing a sale and moving them across the country.

I’ll do anything to save my home team.

But the one thing I can’t do?

Keep my hands to myself.

Which would be fine, if she hadn’t been telling me lies this whole time too.

Liar, Liar, Hearts on Fire is a rocking fun romance between a single dad obsessed with baseball, an heiress with secrets, baseball pants, a rundown team, and rabid ducks. It stands alone and comes with a guaranteed happily-ever-after.

The female character is painful to listen to

I love that this is connected to other Pippa Grant books that I have listened to but I struggled with the female character voice. It's so whining and slow that it detracts from the book. But nearly all of Pippa Grants female readers sound the same.

Ok rom com

This was an ok rom com. Not much romance but more about a single dad and kids. I had a hard time connecting with the main characters. A laughed a couple of times because of the performance. These two are my favorite readers. Thanks to them, I was able to finish the story. However, I used my credit for this and I am gladly returning it.

swoon worthy single dad❤❤❤

Wow! Love love loooove Tripp! Germaphobe, single dad, ex-boy bander, caregiver, baseball lover and did I say single dad, cuz he is hot and sexy at it! Lila didn't stand a chance against his charm! Pippa Grant has another all star hit with this book.

Both Tripp Wilson and Lila Valentine are amazing characters and that's to be expected from this author. Tripp is hot, sexy and caring while Lila is sassy, sexy and strong. There is chemistry from the beginning, even if Lila thought he was someone else. But that deception just fueled their fires even more because neither of them are afraid of a little heat. While Tripp is trying to rock the single dad look and find balance, loosing his wife unexpectedly has had lasting affects on his present and future. But where Tripp has a massive support system to help him, Lila has been battling her own painful past almost entirely alone. Now with her lone surviving family member dead and a fanily legacy left in her lap, she has no choice but to work with Tripp if she wants to stay connected to her family.

Oh the chemistry between them. I can't get over how great they are together! The banter, I love their email chains. Lila drives Tripp crazy with fast paced decisions. Tripp keeps tempting her. Their arguments are filled with sexual tension and the more his kids are involved the more she falls for them. It wouldn't be a Pippa Grant book without animals and she didn't disappoint. Love ducks taking up roost at the stadium and OMG, his kids and their critters! I loved his kids! As I said earlier he has a massive support system so that means we got to see more from past characters ❤❤❤ because the Bro Code family is always there for him and don't think Lila hasn't made friends either, Parker and Knox are back to help her out! Then there are some really great twists that I didn't expect and redemption and love and more hot single dad moments. This book is full of swoon worthy moments.

The narrators did a fabulous job of the characters. He made Tripp oh so sexy. I highly recommend this book!

How does one get over losing one’s wife to the flu while being left alone to raise your till children try to buy a baseball team that’s all. Now if only the owner would sell ,forced to work together which has got some pretty funny moments. Can we say ducks!?! 😬 A new mascot you say oh well that’s an open can of worms come enjoy this but I just suck it peaks at your past couples also that’s what so great about this series this author does a fabulous job

loved the narration

The audio of Liar, Liar, Hearts on Fire was a lot of fun to listen to. Loved both the narrators, their characterisations of the kids voices worked well also.

This story is filled with humour, fun banter and LOL moments. A little bit of mystery is present also in regards to Lila's background. Tripp's 2 young children James and Emma add a lot of humour to the story, especially James with his love of animals.....what he managed to sneak into an important business meeting with his Dad was hilarious.

Not your average since dad rom com!

I usually won’t read single dad romances. Especially if they are a widow. I don’t like the messiness of the previous woman and kids hearts getting involved. I won this audio. So I decided to give it a try. Plus it’s Pippa Grant so I knew it couldn’t be too angsty. I loved this book. It was hot and swoony and really sweet. I never felt like the wife who he lost was a hindrance to them. Other than his scaredness of losing another person again. But it was never could you love me as much as her. Or any of that stuff that makes me cringe. Plus the kid aspect was so organically done. I love the big family and the true brocode friendship. This is I think the 5th in the series and I guess I’m now going to have to read the entire series now. These characters are just asking for me to know all the things. The initial hook up is super hot and all after are as well. You can feel the tension between them. The heroine Lila is one of my faves. She is truly a superwoman. Who can do it all. She’s also such a normal girl who obsesses over her family and is addicted to romance. I think all of us can relate to that. I’m going to need all the brocode stories now. Loved this.

Loyalisa30

Pippa Grant caused me to laugh out loud with this hilarious romantic comedy about two people who have been damaged by terrible life events but find one another by a chance encounter! There are cute, precocious kids, great family and wonderful friends that round out Lila and Tripp’s story. Joe Arden and Savannah Peachwood were fabulously fantastic narrators who brought so much emotion and vibrancy to the story. Loved it!😍🥰🤩😍🥰

Rock meets Hard place

Tripp is living in limbo until Lilah shows up and rattles his cage. These two totally cracked me up while delivering all the feels. This is why I LOVE Pippa Grant.
