About this listen

Cate Granger and Jack Monroe are enjoying life far away from the deep-sea horrors of their past...but the ghosts still haunt them.

Russian billionaire and former friend Sonya Borashev tells them of a newly discovered cave in Antarctica that leads deep beneath the frozen continent. It's from these icy depths that Sonya believes a remnant species of megalodon shark has been set loose and that these ancient monsters are not only alive but thriving.

With a recent spate of horrifying attacks, Sonya leads an expedition to put an end to the monsters for good. And she wants Cate and Jack with her – whether they like it or not.

But beneath the dark ice, they uncover things even deadlier, even more dangerous than they could have ever imagined.

Love the author, love the narrator. Disappointed by the ever changing pronunciation of Megalodon, unfortunately annoys me enough to take me out of the story when pronounced incorrectly. 😢

Love it but….

The last chapter in the the Trilogy left me a little flat, the introduction of a 2 legged enemy to prey on the already hapless crew because the wild monsters weren't enough!! The wasted death of Jack Munro who died so lamely for a hero of the book and the final encounter with the whale which ultimately killed the Megalodon, boring!!!! It's a pity the 3rd book didn't deliver the climax I had expected. Sonya Borashev should have her own series, she is someone not to be tangled with and a match for any baddie or monster! I'd pay money to follow her!

Not quite the explosive ending!!

Great storytelling, even with an ending I hated. Just personal preference. I wish it had ended differently.

The hidden references are titillating, as a long time reader/ listener it was a cherry on top of a fast paced intriguing, edge of the seat tale. In a place I have visited before.💖💖

🦈🐳🪼 Yet another brilliant read so well written it's like you are there it's almost believable, apart from the whale rescue, there again Greig always stretches the imagination! Thanks for another great book 🐳🦈

Fantastic as usual

action packed

Again, Beck completely mischaracterises sharks. However, it's entertaining and dramatic. Just call me a raccoon because I love this trash.

No Pulitzer, but Entertaining

As usual, a gripping story from Greig Beck and wonderfully brought to life by Sean Mangan.
