Publisher's Summary

Greg Boyd longed for his father to know Christ. But as a former atheist turned believer, Greg understood Ed Boyd's reservations. So he offered a unique invitation: His father could write Greg with any questions on Christianity, and he would in turn deliver a thoughtful response.

What began as an intimate correspondence between father and son soon captivated seekers everywhere. Letters from a Skeptic presents a profound defense of the Christian faith. Throughout, listeners will discover a conversation that not only brought Ed Boyd to Christ, but impacted thousands of lives around the world.

Life changing!

I've always been a believer surrounded by believers. This means I've never had to dissect the belief to the level this book does. During the last letter from the dad, I broke out in full-blown sobs at the absolute grace and beauty.

Be sure Jesus lives.

This book answers the questions that nag everyone that struggles with Christianity. I have purchased multiple copies including audibles because it really touched me. It left no question in my mind unanswered. I have shared those copies with people I love.

Solid apologetic in conversational format

Good review of the many questions someone new to the faith or just questioning aspects of their faith would have. It’s a not too conservative for me but I still enjoyed it and it aggregates solid points and counterpoints to strengthen or begin your faith.

Amazing story of God’s love breaking through

If you are a Christian, this book will help reinforce your beliefs and also give a real life glimpse into how the Spirit might work. Greg’s patience with his father and his willingness to let his dad ask any question he wanted - something many Christians avoid - is powerful. If you aren’t a Christian, but have questions, this is a great book for you.

Oh my goodness!

I purchased this because I love listening to books while working. I do it regularly. I was in a hurry and just needed something. Apologetic books are almost always what I choose. I have an older brother skeptic. This book answers in such a wonderful way, all of the things I have attempted to answer, so seamlessly. You do not need to be a scholar to understand. This book is for believes and unbelievers. I was joyously and painfully in tears at the end. Best I have read/ heard. If only I could get my brother to read it!

I couldn't stop listening..

Captivating, fun, informative, and beautiful. The back and forth debate in regards to the common concerns I once had and the belief I now have, is wonderfully portrayed. I started listening yesterday and only paused briefly so that I could sleep. I am sad that it's over lol.

Not convinced

A friend of mine recommended this to me. I just don’t find it convincing though. The son often used poor reasoning and the father let go of beliefs without good reason. That being said there could have been a lot going on outside of the letters.

Great book for making you think

this was such a great way to listen to this style of book. I really enjoyed hearing the authors read in their own words that they had written. Just brilliant! I highly recommend it. The old guy in particular is very in his approach and they are both just so good at getting to the heart of the matter.

love this book!

One of my favourite favourite books. We need apologetics like Greg Boyd and Lee Strobel.
