Publisher's Summary

He's a man used to getting what he wants, but she's not the type of woman to take things lying down....

Born into a life of crime, Mitya Amurov has had a hard life, and his leopard has developed into a feral beast to protect him. It's constantly trying to claw its way to the surface - until a chance encounter with a stranger instantly calms the predator inside him. While Mitya wants Ania desperately, it's only a matter of time before his past catches up with him, and he'd rather die than put her in danger. But Ania is dealing with dangers of her own....

Considering her family's history, Ania Dover should know better than to get mixed up with a criminal like Mitya, but she just can't stay away. Something wild in her responds to his presence. A need so strong it scares her. But she's not sure she can accept what he's offering. Ania has always been an independent woman, and Mitya expects to be obeyed in all things.

Even with her body calling out for his, Ania won't let anything stop her from settling a deadly score years in the making - not even the man who wants to claim her as his mate.

Excellent

This is the story of Ania Dover and Mitya Amurov. Both are lonley for different reasons but do they dare take a chance on each other? They each have deadly enemies trying to kill them and they are interrupted during their courtship because of it. Mitya Amurov has had a hard life, and his leopard has developed into a feral beast to protect him. It's constantly trying to claw its way to the surface. This is a fantastic telling of the story with intrique at every turn and it is more than worth the listen. I highly recommed this audio book and the series as a whole.

Great storyline.

l love Christine Feehan's Leopard series and always look forward to reading more. that being said I have been a little disappointed that there has been more emphasis on the sex scenes and less of the underlying story arc. The characters are becoming more alike and interchangeable. Dominant male / submissive female, and the sex scenes repetative and predictable with dominance, bondage and spanking! As I do enjoy the story arc and the shifter world I will still be buying the next in the series. I just hope there is more variation in the characters.

Really really loved this

This was an exceptional story to listen to. We have it all drama , romance and suspence. Among the claiming and mating of these two comes a new identify of someone trying to get to the other lepords, . Gosh there is so much to this book that one can review about, but needless to say you cant help but love this book and the characters in it. so without any spoilers I would just say it's well worth buying this audio to listen to a wonderfully read book by Jim. A five star rating all around

LOVED MITYA AMUROV!!

Narration was good! Just wish it was recorded with a higher sound volume. I don't use ear buds so it gets hard to hear if you are in traffic or around outside noise. The sound only goes so high. It not high enough to hear over background noises. I had been waiting for Mitya Amurov story since he was almost killed in bk.9 Leopards Fury. Mitya and his Leopard Dymka did not disappoint. They were a fighting machine. I felt so sad for Ania Dover our heroine of the story. To lose her father Antoska Dover and her entire family the way she did was so sad. When her father had to be killed I just cried. The storyline is very good and the revisiting of all the old characters from previous books was fun. The reason I gave Leopards Wrath 4 stars instead of 5 was 1. After each great action scene there was a very erotic sex scene between Mitya and Ania but there was no romance or passion. It felt like just hard core grunge sex. It wasn't until toward the very end did I feel the love between the couple. 2. Having a sex scene after each action scene broke up the storyline. As usual with CF 50% of her story is sex!! She is such a great story teller. I wish she would spend more time on the storyline and action scenes. Well this is how she writes and I am not giving her up. So I have to live with it LOL!!!

Too much sex for too little story

Maybe I'm just getting older. I don't mind a bit of heat but when it overwhelms or its most of the content its not enjoyable.

Disappointing--More Porn than Story

I am disappointed. I have been a big fan of these leopard books from the first one I read and I have read and listened to them all. My favorite is Burning Wild with Jake and Emma. Each book has had a terrific story and lots of sex but as part of the story. These last three books about the Russian Lairs seem to have lost their plot and just focus on separate sex scenes. The books should be categorized under ‘erotica’ not romance because there is very little romance. Lots of violent fights among leopard shifters and sex between the two main characters. In this one it took the whole book to get to the point of the story, the fact that Mitya’s father is out to kill him. Yet when the fight occurs in the last chapter, it is Mitya’s female that kills his father. All that is said as they lift his body off of her is Mitya is going to be mad that he didn’t get to kill him. A bit flat. Maybe this is what happens to authors who are good at writing sex scenes, they devolve to the sex, and skip the story. As a reader, I like sex scenes but they are always better when they occur as part of the story. I know Feehan can write good stories, she has proved it in her other books. It is just these Russian lair stories that she seems to have lost her way. I listened to this on audible and the reader who is the same reader for all the other books, sounds bored. Come on Christine. You can do better.

Leopard's Wrath

Good story line with well developed characters. The sex scene with the female character handcuffed to the bed was off putting and tasteless. it made me angry for her. if I ever read this book again I'll have to fast forward past that scene. when Mitra told his lady he wasn't a nice man, she should have taken it to heart and run! I guess, to give the devil his due, the performance of Jim Frangione was excellent and the overall story was very good.

How does she do it?

If you've read many books in this series, you KNOW the basic outline of the story ... And yet, the characters, the back story, the interaction between each character and their shifter, makes the reading fresh, new and very compelling. Faith Hunter, Nalini Singh and Christine Feehan - multiple active book series, all compelling characters, all fresh aspects with each new book. Congratulations Ms. Feehan - you are one of the very best!

Leopard's Wrath Book 12.

The book brought the whole reason why the Amurov family and their last existing uncle. Who was out to get all their children because of the very reason that their sons left their lair of the Vor of the bratya from Russia. In their lair their fathers were very hateful and depraved with the way they treat their women. Including their wives and daughters did not have any right to their life or the family. They are sold into sex trafficking and abused by the same men who were supposed to be their protectors and they ends up becoming the abusers of them. It is in the series that the wrath of the leopard that have being seeking to destroyed them. The next generation of the Amurov family their father and uncle Lazar has been planning for a long time. lazar’s aims were to use their women or neither take their women away by doing the same he and his brothers did to their mothers. Nor Lazar did get them during their first three tries with their women. But when all that failed and he has lost some many men he decided to come by himself. Bringing with him his most senior and experienced fighters of his leopard lair with hope that this time they will become successful. But he failed to recognize that his son and his nephews are stronger and remain faithful with one another.

More story

Less sex. It gets boring fast. More plot development. A good story well performed by J. F. Would be very welcome. I get tired of fast forwarding. It is also a lazy and fast way to write to meet a deadline. Better story and more time between books.

Such an interesting mystery and lots of hot sex

A great and exciting story with lots of amazing and unique characters. This story still left some unanswered questions for upcoming books but didn’t leave you hanging either. Love Ms Feehan’s writing style and stories. Great narration by Mr Frangione.
