The Legend

The narrator has done a most excellent job of bringing the characters to life. his is an impressive arsenal of nuanced voices that takes you into the story.

Heroes, friendships, love, hate, battles, redemption and a touch of the mystical and magical as only David Gemmell can tell it. Go and read it or have it read to you by Sean Barrett who is the only voice of Druss! Loved it the first time I read it and it sent me on my own quest to read and re-read everything written by David Gemmell. So glad it's on Audible now to enjoy :)))

I read this book years ago and fell in love with Drugs, David Gemmell and fantasy novels in general.

Listening to it on audiobook was a trip down memory lane for me and I loved every second of it.

DG is the best heroic fantasy writer out there. The world he built around Druss starts here and it’s amazing . He transports you into a world of swords and Axe, good and evil and never misses a step . 100% recommend

David Gemmell is a truly brilliant author. His characters, both heroes and villains alike feel alive and the story so well sculpted and believable that I am drawn in and invested of the outcomes. I cannot praise his books enough. I began with reading his Troy trilogy and am now listening to his others books. Legend does not disappoint it is wonderful, enjoyable full of humour, loyalty and betrayal. Sean Barrett is an incredible narrator simply one of the best I’ve ever listened to. A wonderful easy voice full of warm timbre.
