Great to know the beginning a lot of cliffhangers

Dying to know the rest of the story as everything is coming together. Loved the whole series.

It’s all coming together

This is the one where everything is starting to tie together. I have to admit I didn’t love the first book of Brad’s story but wanted to listen to it all to complete the series, but this one...yes. Such mixed feelings about the story itself, but it is completely captivating and I can barely handle how twists of how it throws you into the past, yet you know the story of all the kids so you’re starting to put things together...and ending in the present day. I can’t wait for the next one to see how it all wraps up!!!

Heartbreaking

I was glad to hear the back story. But I was sad to understand Daphne's decline.

Wow

Wendy is the pure Evil and psychotic! Things she did to the Steel kids even at a few days old! And I’m seriously trying to figure out if the 3 men that raped and beat up Daphne and her roommate were the same mean that tortured and raped Talon years later! Those 4 individuals are truly evil sick people! Wish they would of got rid of Wendy years ago!!

So many revelations!

As the second book in the story of Brad Steele and Daphne I knew that things were not going to go well for them and I wasn’t wrong. Lots of twists and turns in this book and so many things from the troubled past are reveled yet still so many secrets are left to discover. Of course there is a cliffhanger for this one as there are with all the trilogies in this extended series so be ready to move on to Decent quickly if you can. This trilogy is hard for me to get through as I know the outcome will not include a HEA but I NEED to hear all of it to have the whole saga complete. Teddy Hamilton and Laurie West are fantastic as usual.

Too Salty!

Wow lots going on! Almost too much actually. This book is like a pot of food ruined because the cook added too much salt. There are too many secrets, too many mystery murders, too much deceit and lies. It was good but just too much! Could have given 5 stars but because it's too salty had to hold back a star.

Some Comments:
How is Bradford still alive when he was shot dead in Unraveled? I hope that Wendy isn't still alive too?

It's not coincidental I'm sure that almost all the women in this prequel trilogy has some level of mental illness. What's up with that??!!

We see from the relationship between father and son where Jonah gets his commanding and dominating personality.

The strained relationship between Bradford's parents is a mystery I'm hoping will be answered in Descent.

This book adds more questions to the pile of questions we have but that is Helen's style. I guess I'm looking forward to reading Descent which I hope will answer those questions.

Enjoy your next read...
