Publisher's Summary

There’s nowhere left to hide.

Lydia Anderson is an unbonded omega living in fear of the day her past catches up with her. Hunted by her ex, betrayed by her own family, staying out of sight is her only protection. Or it was, until she met Pack Saint Clair, and found love and safety in their arms.

Her new pack’s status as a powerhouse of the business world makes it impossible for them to live truly private lives. Their influence can protect Lydia from those set on hurting her, or so they hope.

But their past may prove to be just as dangerous.

The pack have been fighting their own battle to break free of Seth Douglas, an omega who will stop at nothing to maintain his sadistic control over them. Jealous and bitter, Seth will do whatever it takes to get rid of Lydia, even if that means leading her abusers to her front door.

When her past finds her, Lydia must decide what price she’s willing to pay for love…and hope that price isn’t her life.

Lavender and Lightning is the second book in the Pack Saint Clair series, which will feature MM, MMF, FF, and poly relationships. This story touches on subjects that may be triggering to some listeners, including descriptions of past abuse (see content warning for more details). While there will be bumps in the road, this series will end with a HEA.

TSTL heroine and insufferable characters

I really liked the first book so it’s such a shame this one had such a turn for the worse for me! Every character in this was unlikable except for Lucas. I found myself endlessly frustrated while listening to this book. On one hand I could predict where it was going and the mistakes characters were making or would choose to make and it was absolutely maddening and disheartening. The worst was Lydia. She just was so insufferably dense and made so many ridiculous decisions for her safety.
Overall the story just got repetitive and more frustrating as it went on. The longer I listened the less redeeming qualities the story and characters had.
I was so so rooting for this story and I was so hooked! I was living for the potential for where all the diverse relationships could have gone. It’s such a shame I’ll have to discontinue this series.
Narrator performers were quite good I thought! It was the saving grace of this book.
