The narration is good, the story was ok.

I decided to listen to this after really enjoying “final girls” by the same author and narrator.

Unfortunately this one didn’t captivate me as much. Certain parts were good however a lot felt slow. I came out of it overall enjoying the book, but wasn’t great.

Intriguing coming of age drama/thriller

It was hard for me to properly become immersed in the story despite the intriguing premise and the suspense felt more irritating than eerie but there were a few exciting moments and twists but overall I feel ley down. most of the excitement felt a little late, thrown in only at the very end. perhaps I'll change my mind on reflection because truthfully I'm still processing bit for now I simply feel mildly disappointed, although I wish Emma's art was real because it sounds beautiful and exactly the sort of pieces of art I love.

Mixed Feelings...
