Loved this snip-it only wish it were 30 hrs!

I have every iteration of this series. It is the Gold Standard of shoot-em up, action packed, war talking, zombies killing, end of the world with a bit of humor. Man I wish it didn’t take so long for the next books in the series to come out. I also wish this was a Netflix series. Any of these books are a good read but if you’re just starting you should begin here. This book covers the early days of the ZA Wars and answers the questions how the USS Kennedy and the Russians. This series is also very timely with the cursed China birthing yet another deadly worldwide virus. If you’re on the fence be careful because this series will hook you like no other, After. 2nd thought there are two other series that truly hooked me like this series does Keith C. Blackmore’s The Mountain Man and Taylor Anderson’s The Destroyermen Series. These three will keep you entertained and laughing while on the edge of you seat for years. Golden!

AWESOME Jumping on point.

I can't say enough, so I'll just say... This is my favorite series, even over Dark Tower. If you like it too, the same quality is here. Think Maximum Bob kind of badassery. If you're new to it, there's HOURS AND HOURS of the same waiting for you. It's short, and cheap... pay cash, and save your credit for the Arisen 1-3 set!

An excellent stand alone

This is a great stand-alone for this series, it should serve as your intro to the series of you are new to the Arisen Series. You’ll read many reviews refer to how short it is, which may baffle you as it seems a “normal length” BUT each book is approximately 15 hrs long, so we’re a bit spoiled. This is a great set up for newbies because the pace of action is something you must be prepared for in addition to multiple stories all over the world which will eventually coalesce, so these stand-alones are great interjections to bringing insight as the saga unfolds RC Bray kicked arse on the narration once again Btw if you’re going to begin Mountain Man (which is amazing), start with the Hospital because like this book, it sets up all that is to come. Enjoy

Great Book

Another great book by Mr. Fuchs. This is a short stand alone book, but well worth the few bucks to buy. Ready for more.... but longer in format.

As if I were there

incredible story of Rangers fighting for each other in a zombie-apocalypse. non-stop action without a break. R.C. Bray's unmatched narration really makes this stand out and real. a great stand-alone story.

eh

It has everything and Arisen needs but a purpose. Having just finished it I can barley give a recap much less name a character. The story just rushes through then that's it's. No suspense, no payoff, just goodnight.

Great narrative.

Story too short! Wish it could have been much longer tale. Thanks for the effort.

Another Nugget of Arsien Goodness!

Maybe Mr Fuchs ought to be off writing something new you could say but I for me I really enjoyed this latest little gem from the history of the ZA. It's right up there in terms of pace, purpose and action with the last few books of the main series albeit with different characters and a Spetsnaz that take a slightly different character profile to what we have seen before in these books. But, if RC Bray bringing to life just a few more hours of Arisen action in his own wonderful style, telling tall tales of top-rate special operators kicking ass in amongst enemies both human and dead is what you are after then this will deliver that like a grenade going off between your headphones!

Interesting idea, but ultimately unsatisfying.

Well performed as always by R C Bray, this stand alone has too much killing of real people, described in gory detail, for my taste. The first meeting with the Russians is well done, but subsequent events are unconvincing. I was also annoyed by the ending - I wanted to know what happened to the men next! Glad I didn't pay full price for this little oddity.

Just Perfect

Perfectly written by Michael Stephen Fuchs, the characters had depth and the story so well written with action from the beginning. RC Bray brilliant as usual. A must listen for fans of the series.

Good, but not great.

A good value addition to the Arisen universe, but not quite enough Zombie action to score higher.

Another classic Arisen

this book while short and just not built up in the same style as the main series has no problem fitting into the great series that is these books a brilliant story that sneaks in well with the early ZA and still has the military descriptiveness that we love plus doesnt scrimp on the action!! looking forward to lots more side stories

not up to the Arisen standard

One of the many things I love about the Arisen series is that there's a detailed plot, lots of character development and not too much 'weapons adoration'. this short story is pretty much the opposite. Not worth the money IMHO and doesn't really add anything to the Arisen-verse

A bit of nothing

I loved the main series but this book was a bit of nothing. The lack of connection to the main story line meant it was a bit of a waste of time, for the characters and listener. Story on its own ultimately meant nothing and went nowhere. That all being said RC Bray makes anything worth listening too and the end was well delivered.

Another wild ride in the ZA

I wasn't expecting to enjoy this as much knowing the usual Alpha crew wouldn't be throwing down maximum violence in the ZA but God damn Michael Stephen Fuchs has done it again. The only thing that I can possibly criticise this for is that it's over far too soon.

Rushed

love the series, probably my favourite book series of all time! But feels a bit rushed. Far too short
