Caleb is an interesting contrast. A virgin alpha who balances possessive energy with genuine devotion and softness, while still maintaining that underlying threat. It’s a dynamic that keeps the relationship engaging, even when the romance moves quickly.
The pacing sits firmly in fast burn territory, but the emotional tension post-betrayal is where the story finds its strength.
Stefanie Kay delivers a strong solo narration. Her performance is expressive and full of personality, clearly distinguishing emotional shifts and keeping the story easy to follow despite the layered premise. She brings both Evelyn’s internal struggle and the intensity of the world to life in a way that keeps you engaged from start to finish.
Overall, this is an entertaining, character-driven listen with a darker edge and a unique take on shifter dynamics.

The story was sensational, and I was so tense for at least a half of it haha! Great plot, story flowed incredibly well. Evelyn and Caleb are the perfect match and I’m so looking forward to reading/listening to Book 2!! Cmon June!
