Publisher's Summary

Years ago Lady Louisa Windham acted rashly on a dare from her brother, and that indiscretion is about to come to light. She knows her reputation will never survive exposure. Just as she's nearly overwhelmed by her dilemma, Sir Joseph Carrington offers himself to her as a solution.

But Sir Joseph has secrets as well, and as he and Louisa become entangled with each other, their deceptions begin to close in on them both.

A lovely Christmas listen

Another nice, gentle love story from Grace Burrowes, who does them so well. And I like her narrator, James Langton but he does tend to make some of the male voices too growly which makes them sound, to me at least, like they are old men! I listened to this while doing my Christmas baking and it was just right! It's always so nice and so comfortable to spend some time with the Wyndhams.

Best of all the Windham

I’ve read the whole series of Windham books and loved them all, the characters, the great narration, the stories. I’m so in love with the Windham family This book had all in it, the storyline was delightfully woven, there was some very exciting moments. I hope Grace Burrowes brings us more tales of these great people.

Tedious

Male lead was blah, in some sections just annoying. Story felt thrown together and was another iteration of the stories in the series - we can't be together because <scandal> but oh wait everything is fine now, it was all a misunderstanding. The books about the brothers were better than these books about the sisters.

Lady Louisa and her knight

Now, this book I enjoyed it more than the last 2. It’s sweet and romantic. I also like the H and HH and side cast members. 👍🏻👍🏻 I recommend this book and I hope you will too. Now only if I could find my knight like the H.🤤

I love grace burrows but this was one of the most boring books I've ever listened to. Could not keep my attention. No steam at all either
