Summary

The only child of the Earl and Countess of Brewster, Lady Flora Pelham agrees to meet her mother’s collection of potential suitors, until a misunderstanding has two out of the three gentleman believing her already betrothed. Henry Carrington, the young Duke of Stafford, is late to a house party where he’s supposed to meet the famously single Lady Flora Pelham. When the very lady in question mistakes him for a footman and propositions him to pose as her imaginary fiancé, Henry takes the chance, against his better judgment, to get to know the unconventional woman.
