Another well-crafted story, with lots of twists and turns. Well, maybe one too many turns - it became a bit difficult to hold onto a stable view of the hero as a person, by the time his final (and somewhat preposterous) persona was revealed. All the same, it was a ripping yarn, excellently narrated!

As with the previous 2 books, this is an amusing, clean, and lighthearted standalone story with an unlikely but compatible romantic pairing. Like a cat with 9 lives, Lady Avery makes some foolish decisions but manages to get out of <those> pickles with luck and some gallant intervention. I recommend!

This tale started off slowly but as it gathered speed with the plot twisting and turning, I couldn't stop listening late into the night. a story of swashbuckling highwaymen, intrigue, duplicity and true love. A fantastic ending! Get your tissues ready!
