Eren els fills de les exiliades catalanes i espanyoles que malvivien en condicions penoses als caps de refugiats republicans de Sant Cebrià de Rosselló, Argeleres i Ribesaltes, i que van tenir la sort de ser acollides a la maternitat que va crear Eidenbenz.
