Vi møder blandt andet vaskeægte spøgelser, finder et kranie fra Kina og går på opdagelse i det gamle slot, hvor Fritz bor. Per Gammelgaard (f. 1948) blev uddannet bibliotekar i 1973 og har siden da skrevet en række digtsamlinger. I 1981 debuterede han som romanforfatter med "Er du hjemme, Johanne?"
