Publisher's Summary

Kozav found his mate and then he lost her. Now it's time to hunt....

Grace Hall is a nurse, not a doctor. But when five Preor warriors are brought to the emergency room and the doctors won't touch the aliens, she steps forward. One warrior draws her more than the others. His teal wings, muscular body, and pain-glazed eyes have her torn between two desires - needing his touch and desperation to heal him. She's going to save the Preor males, even if it kills her. When she loses consciousness after healing them, she realizes it just might.

Kozav sen Aghin, Primary Warrior of the Preor Third Fleet, wakes on the Preor battleship fully healed yet plagued by a feeling that something is wrong. And something is...Kozav's mate was left behind on Earth - alone and unprotected. Unacceptable. Kozav's guilt for his actions in the past still plague him and he is determined not to fail again. The curvaceous, green-eyed, dark haired human female is his to protect, his to claim and his to keep.

When someone attempts to murder Grace, Kozav is prepared to do whatever it takes to keep her safe. Even if it means killing one of his own. Or will it be Kozav with a sword through his chest?

Light reading/listening

For anyone who wants a lighter romance with alien male/ earth female; but still wants characters & actions that ring true; & has decent writing/editing. Very pleased with both narrators!

Kozav

I love her books and have them all. The narrator's make the audio books just as good. Their voices are very pleasant and they add to the story lines. They should do more narrating.

Excellent story, and I LOVE the audiobook narrators as well!!!!!

I really liked this book. Grace and Kozav are both awesome. Grace’s mom is cool too lol. I especially loved how Todd Mrozek and Mandy Lane narrated the audiobook. Their voices complemented each others and did the characters wonderful justice!!

Maddening but still likable

This book drove me nuts! Two people, fated mates, neither denying that, who just refuse to come together over petty stuff. However, the tension was still great, the characters sexy, and the story fun. Ugh! I feel as wishy washy as the characters. I love it, I'm mad at it, can't put it down.... I guess that means it was good. Kozav is a fun listen but again I find these books pretty short. However, I listened almost straight though for several hours and it cost less than a movie. So really, it's a bargain.

Great story!

I'm still listening to the ending, but I found my favorite line from this story and had to list it while I still remember it. "If you f-----g com them, I will rip your arm of and beat you with it until you are crying for mommy." CLASSIC threat!!! This is a great story. The characters, Kozav and Grace, are an great pair. Grace is a nurse with the weight of the world on her shoulders. She is a nurse, an employee of a mating service, and primary caregiver to her sick mother. One evening at work, five Preor warriors come into her ER and, seeing that no one else was going to help them, she went to work. The moment she set eyes on Kozav the 'Knowing' hit them both, providing her with the knowledge she needed to effectively and successfully care for him and his fellow warriors. Once she had them all stable she collapsed under the weight of the knowledge that her new connection to the Preor warrior drowned her in. Many hours later, Kozav wakes on the Preor ship in space, his entire body aching. Once he realizes that the pain is being caused by his separation from his Sha Kuvah, his mate, he goes in search of her. Grace is a bit different than the previous mates, as she accepts the mating almost right away. She refuses to go all the way because she has serious trust issues, but she accepts that they are meant for one another and decides to take the chance to get to know him. From there, we are taken on a rollercoaster ride of excitement, suspense, danger, steamy moments. I really loved the incorporation of her mom, Donna Hall, into the story, as well as Skulla. The narrators did a phenomenal job with their performances of this story. Well done to them both and the author. I'm off to read... listen to another story.

Better each book

Another entertaining read but I’ve decided I really would love this series to be just Todd Mrozek as narrator.

Can be a standalone but need to like the voices

This is a pretty predictable story from ErinTate/Celia Kyle. It is not hard to guess what's going to happen, when it's going to happen, and why it's going to happen. You don't need to read the first stories to understand what's going on. BUT if you plan to listen to the audiobook you have to get used to the voices. Mandy's voice isn't bad but she does not do any kind of justice to voices--something that can easily pull you out of the fantasy. This is also true of Todd. I actually enjoy Todd's voice up until the moment he tries to speak feminine for our main character. At that point I am definitely out of the story, rolling my eyes, and snorting. This story is short enough that you don't have to listen to their voices very long. This is also not one of the situations where you get used to the voices either. Definitely sample it, but they don't give you Todd's voice to sample so unless you're doing Audible Escape, I'd find another way the hear the story before you contemplate purchasing it.

family is everything

Kozav has met his match with Grace. These two are both so head strong I found myself grinning when they stood to to toe. He totally melted my heart when he realizes his error in not listening to Grace and brings her ill mother into his heart and home.
