I really enjoyed Book 1 in the Villain series. I had been curious about Gareth and his professor since God of Fury.

Curiously, this story starts in a similar timeline to GoF, even covering certain scenes from that book again, just from the POV of Gareth and Kayden.

Gareth and Kayden were similar in so many ways, and yet their differences really made their relationship come to life. It was interesting that both of them were coming to the situation with pasts involving women only.

Kayden was the strong, dominant professor, and Gareth was the self-assured student. It was only when scratching the surface of both Gareth and Kayden that their real personalities came through. Gareth loved to be a brat, and Kayden loved to punish him for it.

As the relationship developed, the hidden aspects of their nature started to kick in, and it was interesting to read about. I really enjoyed their obsession with each other and how that showed in their behaviour.

I loved getting some more Niko and Bran, too.

I can't wait for Vaughan's and Yulian's story next.

I read on Kindle and read along on Audible with great multi cast duet style audio.

I’ve been hooked on these series from Rina since God of Fury. The raw emotion, passion and storyline of this book really dives into a character I knew little about but delivered in many different ways. Would highly recommend.
