Publisher's Summary

A Falling Stars stand-alone novel from NYT and USA Today best-selling author A. L. Jackson....

A single mother.

An up-and-coming drummer with a sordid past.

Their paths never should have crossed.

But when a senseless crime rocks Mia West's entire world, she agrees to spend the summer hiding out at her rock-star brother's mansion in Savannah until the storm blows over.

What she never expected was the gorgeous, brooding drummer living in the guest house.

His darkness a lure.

His gaze a trap.

She knows better than to go after what will hurt her most.

Leif Godwin has two focuses in his life: his band, Carolina George, and seeking retribution for what was stolen from him.

Mia was never supposed to be a part of the equation.

Her eyes an appeal.

Her body a temptation.

Touching her is nothing but a sin.

But will loving her destroy them all....

Grossly Over written!

it was sooo over written- the frustration needling incestantly like a swarm of locusts gnawing at the field that is my brain cells sending shivering sensations as though my body is being enveloped by the brisk morning air on a winters day. How many characters do I have for this reveiw- I can definantly go on and on and on just like this novel!

Over written

I did finish this story just to find out what happened... but this story was so overwritten with "my spirit" and "my being" and so verbose it was killing me, over and over and over and over and over... if you get my drift. I eye rolled a number of times. There was nothing wrong with the actual story, but the descriptors were just over the top and corny. I loved the "Fight for me" series which was far more believable, so if you want to sample A.L. Jackson... start with those.... you won't be disappointed. This series is just too over the top for me!

glad for A.L. Jackson's female heroine persona

this book would have been rivaling the thickness of war and peace if A.L.Jackson hadnt developed Mia the way she did. ive listened to many of her books that are so descriptive and the way this one started i thought oh boy here we go. but Mia's understanding and substance pulled this off. it didn't get as deep or as problem solving as her other collection...falling stars...which is freaking awesome btw. I enjoyed the damaged hero finding himself and the twist at the end..didn't see it coming. than you for a great book. A.L nd the narrator's...Zachary makes my melt and Andi....what can you say to top one of the best

AMAZING! 5 STARS ALL AROUND!

Kiss the stars would have to be one of the most awe inspiring stories I've heard for a while. A.L Jackson took us on a brilliantly written emotional rollercoaster, bringing tears to my eyes, a smile to my face and leaving me craving more. Her descriptions of the scenery, emotions of the characters and general plot gives the reader/listener a perfect image to base the story. Her writing skill and technique is brilliant. Zachary Webber and Andi Arndt, being two very skilled and well respected narrators, narrate the story wonderfully and bring the characters to life in the most amazing way. I never expect anything less from these two talented narrators. They always perform brilliantly. We are instantly brought to fall in love with Mia and Leif, their stories both pull at your heart strings from the beginning. You don't have to listen to the previous books in the series to grasp the true feel of these characters. In conclusion, this was one of the best stories I have heard for a while, paired with terrific performances by two seasoned, wonderful narrators, it will be sure to leave you on the edge of your seat for the entire ride! If I could award more stars, I would!

Ehh.

I am giving this the highest possible star rating only because of Zachary Webber. Gosh, that man’s voice! He could literally read a menu to the worst possible restaurant and I’d still swoon listening to him. 😂 I usually like a A.L. Jackson’s books. In fact, I love them, but for some reason I couldn’t get into this one. I had started a few times. I think it was just really confusing and maybe if I listen to it again, I would enjoy it better. I just wasn’t feeling the chemistry between the two main characters. I usually get lost in her stories, but this time I was just plain lost. Still, if you’re a fan of her books, read it.

Raw and emotional.

I didn't know if AL Jackson could top the Sunder boys. I loved the Bleeding Stars series. But Leif gave them a run for their money. This book was raw, gritty, angsty, heart-wrenching and oh so sexy. Once I started reading I couldn't put it down I felt every raw emotion that Jackson wrote within the pages and that's the reason I love her words I love feeling as though I am living the story right alongside her characters. Leif and Mia will capture your hearts this is a must-read. The narrators brought this story to life. My only issue was that Mia 's voice sounded southern at times and then at other times it didn't.

Another beautifully written love story by Amy Jackson!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️What can I say, I am a sucker for a well written love story and this one causes all the feels! I did not realize it was tied into the beneath the stars storyline with Baz, Lyric, and the gang....yay! Perfectly performed by Zachary and Andi! This one was beautiful. Lots of angsts like Amy does so well! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Another good one

I loved this rocker, tattoo series and was thrilled there was a bonus book. You can’t get caught up in fact that men don’t think, talk or act this way. LOL If only. These books have the same reoccurring theme between the couples, but the stories are entwined nicely so you get to know all the characters. The endings were tied up nicely. It was fantastic to hear what the previous books’ characters were up to. Highly suggest this series. The narrators were awesome.

a narrator can make or break a book no matter how good the storyline. this book was awesome and they were the icing. I love the fact that 2 of the hottest things were mixed together in this book. mororcycle / hot drummer..... this author never let's me down either !!!

Small world of musicians, rock stars and drug dealers

Another Sunder band book that combines the extended band family with remnants of a seedy, drug filled history. This story centers around Mia, Lyric’s younger sister, and a talented drummer who is temporarily filling in for Zee. He has a brutal, tragic past which ironically intersects with Mia’s. Lots of coincidences seem to befall the Sunder family members. This story is gripping and interesting but is also sad and morose at times and that part drags some. The love story is beautiful and erotic, there are several scenes of violence that paint the picture without being overly graphic, and the contrasting of the wealthy family scenes in present and the past images of a family struggling to escape the drug trade make the narrative more powerful. Very much worth a listen.

Narration was great!

I loved the narration! The actual story dragged on for me and I had a very difficult time getting into it. The ending (last hour and half) was good, but I felt the first part dragged on.

Awesome story with Twist

Another excellent AL Jackson romance with a plot twist I didn’t see coming at the end. It’s a little extra in the tortured alpha profile and really makes the love story interesting. Definitely worth the credit!

ok

I struggled to finish. Too many hard/shattering/hot/tense/longing/pulling looks. No one would be able to convey as much as these characters in just one look, or from just entering a room. It made the pace slow, and felt like filler. Bit too much drama in every single line of the book for my liking. As always excellent narration from this pair, only thing that kept me listening.

Another Great Read

I love tp read A. L. Jackson's books. I like her writing style , description and the detail with which she writes. I love the Falling Stars series. They are stories I have difficulty putting down. The choice of Narraters is excellent too, though I felt Zachary Webber was very monotone in his delivery, hence the four stars out of five, but that's me being finicky! Another great read!
