About this listen

Laurent and the Beast: Disfigured by a fire, Beast has wrapped himself in a tight cocoon of violence and mayhem where no one can reach him. Until one night when he meets Laurent.

My Dark Knight: Newly single, Knight is done with relationships. All he's interested in is bringing down The Count, an internet personality who is tarnishing his family name. But when Knight meets Elliot, the man behind The Count, he no longer knows what to do with him.

On Your Knees, Prospect: For two years Jake's toiled as the Kings of Hell MC's only prospect. So when a new guy swans in and thinks he'll get a patch in no time, Jake is there to stand in his way. Only the guy is older, more experienced, drives a Harley, and has the kind of boots Jake craves to lick.

Gray's Shadow: Following a fire that left him without one arm, Gray feels pushed to the sidelines. In order to prove to his club that he is still capable of completing dangerous tasks, he will have to team up with the strange creature from the Other Side.

In the Arms of the Beast: With the world on the brink of collapse, Laurent and Beast will have to put their differences aside to stand a chance at saving their family.

Bolstered by demonic power, the Kings of Hell Motorcycle Club live lives of wild abandon, prizing freedom from laws and judgement above all else. Some of the club members find their perfectly imperfect matches when their worlds are jolted by the arrival of a time-travelling Frenchman (Laurent and the Beast #1), an unhinged ghost hunter (My Dark Knight #2), a bossy accountant (On Your Knees, Prospect #3), and a demonic shadow (Gray’s Shadow #4). However, there may not be time to enjoy these new relationships when the demon arrives to destroy the world (In the Arms of the Beast #5).

Overall, this was an amazing series from KA Merikan with sizzling chemistry and the usual gazillion trigger warnings—definitely not for the prudish or faint of heart! The Kings are almost superheroes with strength, combat skills and certain demon-granted supernatural powers, albeit with highly dubious morals, and you root for each of the men to find the man / being that completes them. The final book, which revisits Laurent and Beast’s relationship, wasn’t a favourite, but I thought #2 and #3 were both incredibly good. 🎧 Award-winning voice actor Joel Leslie really does a great job on the audios, especially his French, British, and multiple US accents—he pretty much has a different voice for each main character. His emotional projection and pacing is also excellent.

Some great stories in this series!!

over all the whole set was great apart from the last book, grey's shadow was highly the best out of the lot, the connection between shadow and grey was so cute yet heartbreaking especially shadow's anguish to try but fail to get grey's affection to be one with the one he came from, yet Grey just kept rejecting him.... until he didn't, then he got all the backlash for accepting Shadow from all the twats that were all basically in demonic relationships anyways... then to top it all off stupid Mercea was the whole reason Grey had to go for the pigeon heart anyways (the stupid selfish little shit).

I almost didn't make it through the last book because of Mercea, like seriously he's the reason for all the fighting, he only thinks about himself and I really did want the world to end just so he didn't get his happy ending, I wanted the world to end before the egg hatched so he had to suffer knowing he ruined his relationship with beast with all of his selfish bitching and moaning, like seriously he was lucky enough to even have the family of the kings, and let's face it he only wanted that child so Grey wouldn't get to keep Shadow..... I'm honestly surprised Grey didn't resent him for having to cut Shadow's finger off...

but yea over all quite good, just Grey's Shadow should have been longer 👍

Grey was done over

I enjoyed this box set so much. To follow all the characters through The story read so well by Joel was amazing. I laughed, cried, squealed and smiled my way through. Totally recommend this book.

Absolutely amazing

I was hesitant to start this series due to the previous reviews but I'm so glad I did! Beast might be a bit childish in his responses at times but not mean as some have suggested. It's a lovely love story with some spice, lots of emotions and of course genuine love. Have just finished the first book but can't wait to finish the rest. Highly recommend this series!

Book 2
I struggled with this one simply because I can't understand how anyone can care for Elliott. He's a selfish, whiney kid. I'd have gladly dumped his ass and found someone better.

Great beauty and the best story
