Publisher's Summary

Falcon: Three years ago, I arrived at the scene of an art heist to find Kingston Wilde tied to a radiator, claiming to be an innocent bystander in the wrong place at the wrong time. It was only later I learned he was actually the elusive art thief I’d been tracking for years. And I was the one who’d let him sweet-talk his way out of my grasp. Ever since, I’ve made it my mission to get my hands on him again, and this time I don’t plan on letting go.

Unfortunately, fate has other plans. A priceless artifact has gone missing, and King is the only one who can help recover it. I thought nothing could be worse than being forced to work with the egotistical SOB, but I was wrong. Falling for the charming art thief in the middle of an operation is way, way worse.

King: The key to being a good art thief is knowing when to call it quits. After one too many close calls, I decide it is the right time to head home to Hobie, Texas, intending to hang up my lockpicks for good.

Unfortunately, the FBI has other plans. Agent Dirk Falcon approaches me with an offer I can’t refuse: full immunity for my past crimes in exchange for helping him with one last job.

The catch? The job involves stealing from the very man who taught me everything I know. The same man who double-crossed me years ago. Pulling this off means trusting Falcon and his team, but how do I trust the sexy agent when he’s staked his career on taking me down?

King Me.

Loved this story. King and Falcon have a lot of problems with trust but everything works out in the end. International art thieves and the FBI play cat and mouse.

A sweet enemies to lovers, opposites attract romance!

This is book 7 in the Forever Wilde series and can be read as a standalone. This follows the story of the very elusive King who is an art thief and Falcon the man who is bent on catching him. The author doesn't reveal too much about King or his profession in the previous books and I was eagerly waiting for his story. Michael Dean has performed an exceptional audio delivery which made this even more enjoyable to listen too. If you like a sweet enemies to lovers romance with all the feels of the Wilde Family, I definitely recommend this!

Amazing!

AMAZING!!!!! Each new book keeps getting better and better, add in Michael Pauley narration and it comes to life. King and Falcon are the perfect enemies to lovers read! King has been the dark and mysterious Wilde for a few books now so to finally see all his deep dark secrets revealed was brilliant! His personality, skills and art knowledge was the perfect mix to my nerdy heart and Pauley's tone and emotion for each scene fits perfectly. Falcon is the older and wiser grumpy agent that has to swallow his pride to ask the one person he wants to put away for help. A take control boss who isn't going to let anything stand in his way from getting what he wants. An action filled heist plot with mystery, suspense with love weaved in was fantastic, If you love Michael Pauley this is a must buy!

An art thief from Texas

I read this book when if came out and I didn’t enjoy it as much as previous books, but I still got the audio book. I admit I liked the audio more, there is something about Michael Pauley’s voice bringing the characters to life that always makes a book better. Solid 4*

A great heist story

I want to start with Michael Pauley’s narration. He always does a great job but in this book he tackled Russian, Hungarian, Irish, and French. And Texan. Always Texan. All that and he gave a solid performance. I have high expectations when I see his name and he never lets me down. I love Lucy Lennox books and this one was no exception. I haven’t seen many heist movies (although The Italian Job is one of my favorites), so I wasn’t sure what to expect with this book. Well, I loved it. You have the career professional hardnosed FBI agent and the thief who have been up against each other for years. They now have to work together and neither trusts the other. What a great set-up with tons of conflict. Along with the tension are great moments of levity. At one point, King Wilde (the thief) is speaking to one of the members of the team. Ziv says to him, “I swear you could seduce a gravy boat.” King replied, “Have you ever seen the curves on those things?” I asked seductively. “And they live to serve. They’ll give you what you want. All you have to do is bend them over.” I laughed. And as with all Lucy books, there is plenty of levity mixed in with the action. Plenty of banner to help develop the characters. By the end of the book, I felt connected to the entire FBI team even as I was rooting for the Wilde man. Cameos by various Wildes including Doc, Grandpa and King’s sister MJ made the book all the more special. I enjoyed the action and adventure side of the story as well as the mushy lovey bits. In other words, just what I was looking for.

Unexpected but great!

This was a more thrilling story than the usual Wilde plots but it didn’t disappoint. It’s another Lennox masterpiece.
