Publisher's Summary

Brought to you by Penguin.

Contains a new foreword written and read by Philip Pullman.

Killing Floor is the first book in the phenomenal best-selling Jack Reacher series by Lee Child. It introduces Reacher for the first time, as the tough ex-military cop of no fixed abode. Trained to think fast and act faster, he is the perfect action hero for when times get tough.

Margrave is a no-account little town in Georgia. Jack Reacher steps off a bus and walks 14 miles in the rain to reach it, in search of a dead guitar player.

But Margrave has just had its first homicide in 30 years. And Reacher is the only stranger in town. He seems the obvious fall guy. As the body count mounts, only one thing is for sure: they picked the wrong guy to frame for murder.

Now a major Prime TV series starring Alan Ritchson.

Although the Jack Reacher novels can be listened to in any order, Killing Floor is the first book in the internationally popular series.

He said, she said, he said

Overall I liked the story and its progression, development.
But the constant repetition of “he said etc” was unimaginative. Wondering if the rest of the series is the same.

5 stars

Very addictive story. If I was to quibble l could say that i didn't much like the narrator's strong American accent and had to speed it up a bit, but it was a first rate performance.

Classic Reacher

Finally I've gotten around to the first of the Reacher series.
The story and character development is a little rough compared to the newer books and that's to be expected, however it shows a different Reacher which is kind of refreshing. The plot twist, just after I had worked it all out, was good.

Great Voice for Jack Reacher

Lee Child doesn't get enough credit for the quality of his writing. This book captures the personality and unique attitude that is Jack Reacher and Jeff Harding has a voice that compliments the dry drawl that you imagine coming from the detached Reacher. I thoroughly enjoyed this book.

Reacher there is nothing else to say

PTSD trigger warnings.

Exceptional story bought to life in Amazon’s new Series by the same name. I loved the book, I loved the Series. Jack Reacher is quiet, very good at what he does and very believable as a character. Yes there is violence and sex. However it is written and explained in a way that is in someways relatable.

What would you do if you had this characters abilities? How far would you go if there was nothing to lose?

Enjoy it in any format. I love this series.
