About this listen
The game is over...there’s nowhere to hide.
When Lenchester’s most famous sportsman is shot dead, DCI Whitney Walker and her team are thrown into the world of snooker. She calls on forensic psychologist Dr. Georgina Cavendish to assist, but the investigation takes them in a direction that has far-reaching international ramifications.
Much to Whitney’s annoyance, an officer from one of the Met's special squads is sent to assist. But as everyone knows...three’s a crowd.

Enjoyable reads
I only wish that the books were longer. The characters are complex and yet endearing. I for one read on due to wanting to know what happens with them next. The crimes are interesting, always something very different and there's often something to learn within. I look forward to the new series, however I can't wait for the next instalment in the Cavendish and Walker series.

B grade detective story
I enjoyed the first few books in the series, so I kept listening. However, the lead character’s unfounded bias against people and her ‘police are above the law’ interviewing have made them a rather unlikeable character. Additionally, the style of writing could be triggering for those who have been mistreated by people in positions of authority. I think it’s time for the author to retire this series and move on to writing from a more progressive approach
