Thanks, Nora. This series has it all!

STORY (fantasy/romance) - You can't go wrong with this series. There are great characters sweet romances, clever banter, all tied together with a mysterious quest. Dana, Mallory and Zoe must, in turn, find three keys to release three souls held captive by an evil god. This is Book 2, Dana's quest, and it's a wild one. She tangles with Cain, the evil god, and with sexy Jordan Hawke as well. Not just a sweet romance, lots more going on.

PERFORMANCE - I love Susan Ericksen. She always delivers a great performance. In this book I especially love her performances of Pitt and Rowena, two of the gods.

OVERALL - The books in this series should be listened to in order so you follow the story of the quest for the keys and the character development. That said, each book does a good job of bringing you up to speed and each story stands alone. There's a tiny bit of cursing, but it's pretty mild. There are also Nora's typical romantic, "classy" sex scenes, the kind that aren't explicit but you still can feel the passion and heat. Recommended for all romance readers.

Key of Knowledge

This review addresses a series, The Key Trilogy, by Nora Roberts. Book 1 Key of Life, Book 2 Key of Valor, Book 3 Key of Knowledge.

A Nora Roberts novel is usually a simple boy-meets-girl-romance with a story sprinkled throughout. Out of the box a tiny bit, The Key Trilogy is fantasy, i.e., witches and Celtic gods type Sci-Fi. A character even walks through a mirror as in Alice In Wonderland. But, Roberts does stick to her formula of chic-lit with the typical mawkish romance scenes *roll-eyes-hit-fast-forward* and an intriguing mystery.

All the characters are drop-dead-gorgeous, and much of the story is will-he-won’t-she romance. Two of the Celtic gods are personified by a handsome couple that own a mansion in a pretty town. They invite three women, complete strangers to each other, to complete a mysterious task (hint: involves keys, duh), ergo three books, one for each.

Anyway, if you like Nora Roberts, saccharine love scenes that do not fade-to-black, a bit of mystery, paranormal/SciFi, these will do.

Brilliance Audio, 2008, narration by Susan Ericksen (same reader as the In Death series) is great as usual. Each book is about 10 hours of listening.

Chic-lit fans enjoy!

Good story but not quite as good as the first.

I enjoyed this story but I don't think it's quite as good as the first. That being said, it is a good story. It makes you want to listen to the third book. I'm looking forward to finding out what happens to Zoey during her quest to find the last key. ( I'm starting book three as soon as I finish this review) Lol. As far as the narration goes the narrator did an excellent job with this book as well as the previous one. I haven't checked to see if she is narrating the third book but I sure hope so. This trilogy is well worth listening too. I know you'll enjoy it. Another great set of stories by Nora Roberts.

Another great Nora Roberts trilogy

Nora Roberts creates intelligent and fascinating characters, and the Key trilogy is another example of her storytelling genius. I tend to get cranky when I can figure out what's coming next in a story, but I like these characters so much I do not care. Another excellent narration by Susan Ericksen.

Good book, good performance

I found this one a little less enthralling than the first in the series but still very enjoyable. - again the non American accents annoyed me a little but I still found the performance very good

better than the first book.

Any additional comments?

in the first book of the trilogy, key of light we meet all the characters we will follow through the story. it is obvious who the three partnerships will be. in the first it was Mallory and Flynn now in this part of the story it is dana and jorden who must come together to find the second key to unlock the spell cast upon a king's three daughters.nora Roberts is very good at describing relationships and making the unbelievable believable as she does in this story, a grown up fairy story, the power of good against evil. and as with all fairy stories we are there rooting for the good guys and a happy ending.the atmosphere and tension in finding the key is also very well done.hope that the third part is as good. once more susan Erickson performed the book well. she added so much to an already thrilling story.
