I like to party; to have a good time. Life’s too short not to. I learned that when I lost my grandpa. He told me to have fun while I can, and I intend to. Though sometimes when you’re having a good time, you forget others may see you as irresponsible. And sometimes you screw up.

This was a wonderful audiobook that I thoroughly enjoyed. The narrators were wonderful and the only thing that annoyed me was that the two MMCs, the ex girlfriend and the town names all started with c or k, which made it very confusing at the start. However, once you get past that this is an absolutely beautiful book! Can't wait to continue listening to this series!

This is a best friends to lovers high school romance, featuring Camden Prescott and Kingston Wells.

Camden and Kingston are best friends and teammates on the high school football team and are finishing their senior year. They have a special bond and are there for each other no matter what. The love they have for each other is so beautiful. When they eventually get together, I was cheering.

Kingston is a go with the flow/sunshiny guy but is protective of his bestie. Camden is madly in love with Kingston but needs to escape their small town so he can finally be free and whilst it’s breaking Kingston’s heart, he wants his best friend to have all his dreams come true and let’s him go.

This was a reread for me and it made me cry again. Oh boy does it tug on the heart strings. I love these two together.

Camden Prescott is the local high school quarterback and loves playing football with his BFF, Kingston Wells, who is the most popular guy in school with the most attractive girlfriend. But Camden has secretly loved Kingston for years; he knows it can’t go anywhere and he can’t wait to leave town and live somewhere more accepting. Things change when Kingston breaks up with his girlfriend and discovers that Camden is gay. Kingston may not be gay, but his feelings for Camden grow stronger with each passing day.

I thoroughly enjoyed this friends-to-lovers / GFY / small town / sports romance: some of my favourite tropes! I Loved the two leads: Kingston was a loveable lughead who felt fiercely protective of Camden, while Camden was the deeper thinker and more responsible one of the two. The angst is pretty mild to middling and I loved the dynamic between Camden and Kingston. I also enjoyed the subplots around Camden’s family and Kingston’s girlfriend. 🎧 Power audio pair Tim Paige (as Kingston) and Liam DiCosimo (as Camden) were great in these roles. I liked the town vibe a lot so I’ll definitely check out the rest of the books in this series!
