A captivating novel beautifully told
Katryn, Vrou van die Richtersveld is a gripping story about an illiterate tare Nama woman who takes on the judicial system by herself, losing faith in her pro deo lawyer after Katryn was accused of murder of the son of her arch enemy, Abraham Klink – a family who has terrorised the Jonis family for years.
Chapter by chapter, untold secrets are revealed but it's also a stunningly delicate and nuanced novel, As the narrative continues the characters become progressively three-dimensional. Huisamen writes a novel that will hold you spellbound where the chain of events becomes a cohesive narrative. If you're looking for a novel that pulls you in and takes hold of your imagination until the very end, you've found it.
Johan Nel's narration brings the characters to life beautifully. The emotions of all the characters are captured tenderly. He tells the story of Katryn’s journey with sensitivity, grace, and authenticity.

Uitstekend
Hierdie was n wonderlike storie met baie mooi afrikaanse woorde. Dit was baie bindend en mooi uitgedink.
