Kalle Blomquist kämpft gegen das Verbrechen. Immerhin ist er schon 12 Jahre alt, und da kann er es mit Sherlock Holmes allemal aufnehmen. Sehr zu Kalles Verdruss nehmen ihn seine Freunde Eva-Lotta und Anders nicht so ganz ernst mit seinem "Krimi-Tick". Eines Tages taucht Eva-Lottes Onkel Einar unvermittelt in dem kleinen Städtchen auf. Oder taucht er unter? Das kombiniert jedenfalls Kalle sofort messerscharf. Mit waghalsigen Ermittlungen versucht er - zunächst im Alleingang - Beweise gegen Onkel Einar zu sammeln. Dabei gerät er allerdings mächtig in Schwierigkeiten.
