Along the way, they offer him words of encouragement, assuring him that everyone has unique gifts and that being flightless doesn’t diminish his worth. From Kororā the Little Blue Penguin, the tuneful Tūī, and the majestic Owl Ruru, his new friends help him embrace who he is. As Kaitoa returns home, he feels a newfound sense of self-acceptance and warmth, realizing that he is perfect just the way he is.
Through this journey, Kaitoa learns that true value comes from within, and he finds comfort in being exactly who he was always meant to be.
