There are few novels in the world that conjure and articulate the might and terror of the ineffable. If Carlos did indeed experience these adventures then there is indeed more to heaven and earth than is dreamt of in our normality. If this is fiction then Carlos is a master of the format and ought be described in the same breath as Tolkien and Herbert.
