Leah
When I was too young to know any better Ryan Jedson fascinated me.
After he went on the run I thought I’d never see him again.
I was wrong.
Now that he’s back in town I realize it’s a bad idea to catch his eye.
And yet I can’t help it.
Sometimes you want the one you shouldn’t want.
But there’s a complication.
He has no idea that I’m the reason his life fell apart.
And I don’t know what he’ll do if he ever finds out.

Ryan
Back in the day when we were neighbors she was too young, not even worth a second look.
However, six years have gone by and now Leah Brandeis is fair game.
I see how she looks at me.
I understand she thinks her secret is safe.
And I’m playing along.
For now.
But soon the truth will come out and there will be hell to pay.
Because I know what she did.
I’ve always known.

Good story with unexpected twists

I enjoy the characters that Cora Brent writes because they are flawed, but seek for and find redemption. This story has unrequited love, betrayals and a few unexpected. The narration is great. Both narrators were a good match for the characters. Highly recommend!

The H leaves and comes back seeking revenge and she has s** with him ... im sorry i would never have s** with him because he's been with my mom and on my bed f*** you.

Betrayal of Parents and Lost Innocence

Puppy love handed a slap in the face..betrayal by some and presumed betrayal by others A story that in the prologue breaks your heart and the lapse in time before lies and hurts are healed Great narration. Loved the Gentry boys and this story stems from the same town and provides a remembrance of the Gentrys Squeezing in as much Audible Escape as Possible before it’s gone

really liked it

I would have loved this book but I feel like there was a lot of filler in it. by the time you've read all the other books in the different Gentry series you have figured out her writing to the point where from about chapter 6 through 20 you can listen to the first three minutes of the chapter skip to the last minute and decide if you want to listen to the in between you can piece together a lot of what happens.... on the same token she did address a hard topic of miscommunication and how one vindictive person can really mess with people's lives

Touching story

This was a touching story. I was hooked from the beginning to the end. I felt sorry for the heroine and what she went through with her one mother. I also admired her character. Both narrators did an excellent job. I highly recommend!
