Elizabeth Boyle's stories are very entertaining, with complex plots, great characters, drama and humour. In the previous books I was irritated at times by the seemingly senseless silliness of the heroines, and at times heroes, but in this book I had no such issues. I chuckled my way through most of it.
Susan Duerdan is a excellent narrator, portraying each character skillfully and often hilariously.
Many of Elizabeth's characters appear in other related series, which has had me leaving one series and tapping into another in an attempt to fill in the crossed story timelines. However I feel I probably won't ever get them sorted satisfactorily and will have to let go of my desire for chronological order and just enjoy them!

Highly enjoyable almost finish to series.
