Totally frustrating....
Such a frustratingly annoying story. Making decisions is not our heroine's strong suit. I just wanted to punch her in the face sometimes. Kept going to see how the ending turned out and it was similarly indecisive.

Isobel - are you sure that’s your name?
I usually love this author. Isobel, the main character, cannot decide on anything. I hope she’s not based on anyone because she makes me furious and if I met her in real life we could never be friends. I hung on to the end because I thought it would get better even though I had lost a lot of interest half way through. I wish I had tapped out around the 5hr mark and taken up cross stitch because I would have gotten more out of that.

Disappointing
One of my favorite authors and my absolute favorite narrator...WHAT HAPPENED ? Such an excruciating storyline. I didn't like any of the characters, particularly the lead character, such an annoying, pathetic woman. The relationships were awful too. I just kept rolling my eyes the whole way through. There was not enough character development and the end was the only good thing about this story. I won't give up on this author though, as I have enjoyed many of her books, I don't know what happened here !

Not sure why I persevered with this. Predictable, some parts of the story had too much detail, other bits glossed over. A main character who almost had me liking her buy mostly made me frustrated.

Isobel's Wedding
Isobel's Wedding. For a start got caught this is an old book maybe 15 or more years old. It is not a new book from the author. Realised I had already read it after a few paragraphs. Narrator is excellent. Story initially is interesting then you go through many chapters where Isobel goes on how much she loves her ex fiancee. She moves to Spain has some one night stands and goes back and forth with deciding what she wants until you have had enough. Then the story ends up with an ending that is not satisfying. You listen for 16 hours and then after all the carry on you have to assume the outcome. I like an epilogue so you actually know exactly what is supposed to happen. Not saying anymore so not to spoil it for anyone who reads it. It is so annoying the way after a new chapter starts some authors are writing for instance about painters or something nothing to do with story. You need to be careful as some books are being rereleased with a different cover Jill Mansell a good example.

Old fashioned and outdated
I had assumed that the release date on the site was the date of publication - no! This was actually published in the last century; back in the day when no one had a mobile phone, had heard of the internet and smoked in pubs etc etc etc, so it was hard to get into a story that doesn’t reflect the social norms of today.
