About this listen

Till Death Do Us Part

Enjoying a rare break in his remote lochside cabin, DCI Bone suddenly finds himself cut off when the mother of all snowstorms hits the Campsie Fells. Intrigued by the flickering lights from one of the loch’s uninhabited islands, Bone commandeers a local boat and heads out across stormy waters to investigate.

There, amongst the island’s ancient Celtic gravestones, Bone makes a grisly, surreal discovery: a mutilated bride and groom, bound together in frozen union.

Unable to contact his team at Kilwinnoch Police Station and ill-prepared for the weather, Bone faces one of the most gruelling cases of his career, as he battles fierce elemental forces to catch an ingenious killer with a heart far colder than a Scottish winter.

Set among the dramatic hills and glens of Scotland's Campsie Fells, Isle of the Dead is the fifth book in the best-selling edge-of-your-seat Scottish crime series that will keep you guessing right up to the nail-biting, heart-stopping climax.

Perfect for fans of Ian Rankin, J.D. Kirk, Val McDermid and Stuart MacBride.

Well just finished my fifth title in this wonderfully enthralling series starring DCI Bone. I have listene
a book everyday and the more l listen the more l am captured by Mr Reid and his team. I found this one very interesting with its references to the ancient Celtic graves as l am rather a bit of a historian. There is so much knowledge to be learned by visiting ancient burial grounds, history of our ancestors and l could really feel the sense of the isle as it was brought to life through the marvellous penmanship of this wonderful author…

T.G. Reid has shown the reader the uniqueness of older generations and the old stories and traditions and cultural aspects of Scottish origins, life and brings one almost to visions of these very special places and the characters in these stories.
It all makes me feel very homesick.

I am also very happy that DCI Bone and his family are once again reunited and l am hoping they will continue to keep their family unit as on with their wee lad.

The narration was, of course top notch and provides the listener with the cream on the cake so as to say. It all adds up to another brilliant presentation.

So, now on to the next gripping book and many more hours of gripping cases and wonderful charcters…

Another incredible book by MrT.G.Reid Esquire

Loving this series until I got to this one just far to far fetched … will give next one a go - hoping for more humor and better plausible storyline

Hoping this is just a one off

Waited ages for this to be available as an audiobook and it was well worth it. Excellent storyline although I had my suspicians about the nasty culprits… One part of the tale was left somewhat open, perhaps more to follow? Great group of characters brought to life once again by Steve Worsley’s unbeatable narration. He is definitely one of my favourites. Can’t wait for the next one.

So Worth the Wait

Stoked to listen to the new adventures of DCI Bone! Reid’s characters are complex yet relatable and likeable. The writing alongside Worsley’s narration makes the scenery and characters come to life. Can’t wait for more!

Another cracker!
