Story
The church used to be recognised as a force for good, but this is changing rapidly. Christians are now often seen as the bad guys, losing both respect and influence. In our post-Christian culture, how do we offer the gospel to those around us who view it as not only wrong but possibly dangerous? And how do we ensure that the secular worldview does not entice us away with its constant barrage, online and elsewhere, of messages about self-determinism?

Not every lie sounds untrue. Some lies are repeated so often they seem to be common sense. That's why lies about God are so dangerous. The Gospel According to Satan examines eight lies the enemy wants us to believe and provides eight lines of counterattack against them. Jared C. Wilson reveals why these lies appeal to us, shows how they harm us, and provides ways to counteract them. We can renounce Satan's counterfeit gospel, but first we must see it for what it is.

Publisher's Summary
"I love everything that Scott Sauls writes." (Christine Caine)
What if Christians became the best advertisement for Jesus?
Jesus said his followers would be a light to the world and a city on a hill - a warmly inviting, neighbor-loving, grace-and-truth filled destination for all. He envisioned his followers as life-giving neighbors, bosses, employees, and friends, the kind of people who return even insults with kindness and persecution with prayers. Rooted in biblical convictions, they would extend love, empathy, and care to one another as well as to those who don't share their beliefs. Over time their movement would become irresistible to every nation, tribe, and tongue.
Irresistible Faith is a blueprint for pursuing this vision in our current moment, of redeemed individuals and a renewed community working for a restored world. This is a way of being that gives a tired, cynical world good reason to pause and reconsider Christianity - and to start wishing it was true.
"I miss the kind of church Scott describes in this book, and I don’t think I am alone." (Donald Miller, author of Blue Like Jazz and Building a StoryBrand)
"An important call to resist the urge to lobby and position ourselves, but rather to be driven by gospel-powered love." (Raechel Myers, founder and CEO of She Reads Truth)
"An antidote to much that is wrong with our western, American version of Christianity. " (Gabe and Rebekah Lyons, authors and founders of Q Ideas)

Amazing!
I heard of Scott Sauls and this book recommendation of Annie F. Downs podcast and I'm so glad I got this book. I recently resigned from my position of working in a church. Not for toxic reasons. My husband and I had a baby and I decided to stay home. With my departure from a job in outreach that I absolutely loved I felt like less of a person because I wasn't working. I love how Sauls spoke and snapped me out of my pity-party funk and reminded me that ALL work, not just in a church, is good. I 100% recommend this book to anyone. If you work (we all do!) and if you are looking for clarity and purpose in your work life and how faith is woven in our work life, get this book and listen to it.

Irresistible Read
This book was smooth like butter and easy to digest. The narrator did a great job expressing the passion of the author without being condescending or judgemental. The book serves as a great reminder to serve the world using our gifts without judgment and self-righteousness.

so good
This is an important message all believers in Christ should hear/read. It is so easy to forget God's design for what Christianity is all about. This book puts it in such simple terms and brings to light how our lives should be sharing the Gospel wherever we are in whatever we are doing.

Challenging and Excellent
This is a great book that challenges our thoughts about our faith. He has a great section toward the end about how our faith intersects and transforms our work. I hope we will let this book inform us and change the way we take our faith into the world. Very thought-provoking!

Thought Provoking and Compelling
A good book to get on track with your Christian faith. Practical, based on Scripture, and to the point. This book teaches us to be more loving, more giving, and more tolerant in a world where Christians have a bad name.
