Publisher's Summary
It's no wonder that introversion is making headlines - half of all Americans are introverts. But if that describes you, are you making the most of your inner strength?
In this book, psychologist and introvert Laurie Helgoe, PhD, unveils the genius of introversion. Introverts gain energy and power through reflection and solitude. Our culture, however, is geared toward the extrovert. The pressure to get out there and get happier can lead people to think that an inward orientation is a problem instead of an opportunity. Helgoe shows that the exact opposite is true: Introverts can capitalize on this inner source of power.
Introvert Power is a blueprint for how introverts can take full advantage of this hidden strength in daily life.

Wrong voice to narrate this book
Susan Boyce's voice is stiff and quite frankly stresses me out rather than relaxes me, which is what I'm trying to do by listening to a book. Therefore, I've had quite a bit of difficulty getting through this book though I really enjoy the content. I'd hate to have to purchase it again to read instead of listen.

Like a medical book and not a self help book
This was so bad that I could not finish it. I felt like I was at a medical conference and was beyond bored. The narration left a lot to be desired and the lack of down to earth information and everyday examples was sad.

Definitely worth listening to (or reading)
I found the information, quotes, stories to be very helpful and relatable. There were at times when the story dragged on. It could be more concise in some areas. But I found that it helped me understand myself a lot better and to feel good about myself. The narrator almost sounded like a robot. Might be better to read than to listen.

Phenomenal book
What an amazing book! This book was written with exceptional research and exploration into the mind and construct that makes introversion so wonderful! I only wish that more people could have the ability to learn the differences between intro/extroversion at a much earlier age. Many of us share these experiences in life feeling "different" without understanding why. Thank you for such well researched insight..

Helpful if repetitive; Voice not ideal
the content is helpful, but should be abridged. The narrator was admittedly a poor choice, and comes of as somewhat monotonous & dull.

Must Read!
Thank you so much for this book! It’s eye opening in understanding who you are as an introvert and provides comfort in being true to oneself as an introvert in a perceived extroverted world. Must read for all introverts out there and share about this book.

Good info mixed with mundane play by plays
My husband says the narrator sounds like a robot, but I heard it as an instruction book. She has some fascinating studies, & even good strategies. Unfortunately I got distracted by her over-detailed play by plays. A good book to listen to when you have other stuff to work on too.

Fantastic book!
Listening to this amazing book has helped me understand me a lot better. So many events I can recall in life all the way back to my childhood are making a lot more sense to me now. Same with how I act as an adult and what I enjoy and dislike. Highly recommend this book.
